Re: VCA

Usually, VCAs are attentuaters and don't add gain or volume to a signal (not that your idea would have to follow this typical VCA function). The VCA subtracts from the signal to contour it over time set by the Envelope. But this contouring will work on an external signal fed to your synth's audio i...

i'm not really good with electronics (yet) i do plan to get into it more, but i think if moog don't make product like this it would be easier to just get a couple of synthesizers.com modules (VCA and ENV) and house them in a small box if they did release something like this i would be really happy, ...

sorry i should have made it more clear the on/off switch at the very bottom is actually the tigger source for the ENV, and the gate out outputs the gate signal caused by this switch, and then you can use the gate input to control it with a synth, seq, env follower, LFO, etc when the sustain is set t...

well i just thought i'd post the idea, as this is a forum where people are encouraged to post their new ways of using the foogers, if you don't like the idea don't use it. also you might not want to get another bit of gear, you might just want to get the most out of your current setup, push the limi...

MF 106 idea

http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/5927/ampio0.jpg http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/8477/amp2qr9.jpg you could use it to contour the volume of your input, or shape modulation sources much like the voyager does the drive control only has effect when in audio mode you can also use the env and the a...

I think there might be some way to make this conversion work with the "Offset" control combined with the inverted output on the CP251. if you look at my original post more carefully, you'll see the line about off-seting the inverted signal. if you wanted to trim down that 8V signal you co...

converting s-tirg to v-trig with the CP-251

or the other way round as far as i can make out S-trig note off = +5 Volts note on = 0 Volts V-trig note off = 0 Volts note on = +5 Volts So if you plug an S-trig out into the mixer of the CP-251 and plug its inverted output into another synth you'd get note off = -5 Volts note on = 0 Volts if you t...

Not a bad idea! Unfortunately, the LP does not transmit it's state after a preset or program change. It transmits CC values only when the user adjusts knobs or buttons. nuts! ah well, as for the rackmount idea, i still think they could make an awesome connection between the keyboard version and a f...
