Nice idea ... I like the rounded edges better. They complement the lines of the font.

Re: looking at guitar looping pedals to use with the LP
I use a Digitech Jamman (the early two-pedal model) for this. For what I do, most of the time the Boos-style time signature and quantization features get in the way and need to be turned off, so the Jamman is perfect. It has pretty good I/O options, large and expandable storage, no extra features th...

Re: Freqbox gate
Not sure if this is what you want, but the signal at the oscillator-out jack on the back is always on. Just be careful when patching it into things, because that signal is extremely hot.

Re: Pasta inside Lil' Phatty?
This reminds me a little of the time I spilled wine all over my mixing board. The tech's first question was: red or white? Turns out I was lucky it was red...

Re: Expression Pedal Question
I've had good luck with the M-Audio EX-P. The construction is nothing to write home about, but electrically it works fine.

Re: wah wah: filter or pedal?
They can sound quite different, largely because wah pedals are bandpass filters whereas the classic 'synthy' filter sweep comes from a low-pass filter (although many synths have other filter modes as well). If you really want a 'wah' kind of sound, it's certainly worth trying the pedal.

Re: I need help
IMO, you'll probably just overwhelm yourself and get frustrated if you try to learn too much all at once. I'd suggest you put everything aside except for the LP at first. Read the manual, go through the presets, think about musical applications you might have for each preset. Take some time just to ...

Well I'm really stretching here because it's not an LP, and it's not hip hop (but related), and I don't know which tracks it's on, but...

Re: delay for LP?
I know you said analog, but you might also want to consider the TC Electronic Nova Delay or Nova Repeater. These can cop analog sounds reasonably well, have a really attractive feature set for the price, and sound very nice with keyboards.

Re: new phatty owner...of course not everything is working :
The way it works is that the Amount control sets the maximum possible level of modulation, but the modulation actually heard at any moment is controlled by the mod wheel (from zero when it's off, up to whatever maximum is set by the Amount control). So if your mod wheel is sitting at zero, you won't...

The trick is to also take a full bass stack and a 60s-era Traynor guitar amp to every gig. Load the Phatty in last, and it will feel light!

Re: LP breath control options?
That's right, the CS-01 was just the occasion to think about getting a breath controller, which got me to thinking about how cool it could be to use breath control on some of the LP CV inputs. Although on reflection, it sounds like it would be just as easy (or easier) to use the MIDI Solutions box a...

Re: LP breath control options?
Thanks Derek ... but that's more like a wind controller, which isn't the kind of thing I had in mind. I just meant a simple breath controller like the Yamaha BC series, where you blow in and it produces a variable voltage (no keys or anything).

LP breath control options?
Hi Everyone, I'm thinking of getting a Yamaha BC3 to use with my old CS-01, which got me to thinking more about breath control with the LP. Can someone tell me what the various options are? I know that I could do MIDI CC using the MIDI Solutions box, but I'd like it even better if there was a way to...

Re: Little Phatty vs. Voyager: With one should I buy?
Someone who really loves what they do, someone who is really passionate about their craft, well they deserve the best they can provide themselves. I certainly wouldn't argue with that. But then again, more isn't always better. Some kinds of music need a very wide variety of timbres, but that doesn'...
