GregAE,

Thank you very much for the information. Good thing I asked and didn't try the Y plug

Thanks!

A Question for GregAE about 2 Squarewave/Moogspace Tricks

I set up the Aural Exciter/insert cable trick using an insert cable from the Voyager's MIX OUT/FILT IN to the mult on my VX-351 and then to a BBE signal processor and back into the Voyager's EXT AUDIO INPUT. It works great! I was reading over the trick of running the Voyager's Left Audio Out into th...

Maybe adding strips of Dynamat will be an easy way to weight the keys?

The Voyager will work fine with the board installed and not using the 351. That's a great price for a 251 and 351 seeing that the 251 alone is about $350. The 351 breaks out the Voyager to control other gear like the 251 or the Foogers. I use the outs from the touchscreen from the 351 a lot. The 251...

Darren, Sorry to hear you're having woes with your Voyager. As far as the analog part, yes, it is an analog synth. So you can rest easy there. The software and controls are digital, but the sound is all analog. I would recommend getting the 251 and 351 from your friend if it's a great deal. There's ...

I sent in my Voyager for water damage  and to have the Filter Glide Mod and After Touch Mod. Moog's service dept. staff is very friendly and responsive. They got my Voyager back to me within a month which is probably shorter than some of the big companies. They love your MuRF as much as you d...

The Crib

I know this has little to do with Moog save for the tunes on his iPod, but this is funny and I think you guys will enjoy it:

The things in his palce that made me laugh the most were his TV and his clothes in the back bedroom.

Enjoy!

I sent this link to Dave Smith. It didn't look like they were too far into the R&D. He wrote back and said that it's good info of what people are looking for, but the BoomChik is pretty far along in R&D so it doesn't look like many of our ideas will make their mark  I'm sure these two h...

i really love the idea of a moog drum machine, ive been longing for it for awhile actually. it would be great if it could be used as a sequencer too, that maybe asking a little too much for one box though. but having the CV inputs would just be insanely beautiful. (have the pitch of the high hats s...

Wow... great idea... that would be KILLER!
They would be nice, but it may wind up being really big. An 808 is big and heavy, but it still moves around fairly well. I'd prefer a all-in-one box than modules because I don't have a lot of space.

It will likely take software and an LCD screen like the Voyager to really make this machine rock. My biggest problem with most drum machines is the accent. The 808 and Korg ER-1 have global accents. I don't think that should be done away with, but it needs improving. If Moog does do R&D on this,...

You'll have to research finding one, but the PSIM-1 may be something you'd like:

I know a ROMpler isn't exactly a synth, but what I use most:

Voyager
DSI Polyevolver
Virus
E-Mu Turbophatt
Triton
Matrix 6R

I have a lot of other ones hard and soft, but I use these the most right now.

Get a Korg Electribe EA-1 (blue color) off Ebay. It's an all in one sequencer and synth and you can get it for $80-$100. It does Daft Punk type sounds and can run on it's own. You can even run your guitar through it. For drums, I'd get a EmU Proteus/MoPhatt/Xtreme Lead and add the Rob Papen Techno C...
