Sub37: I wish I could fit it in my pocket?

Honestly, the only thing wrong with this synth is that I can't drag it into bed for a late night song-fest. Or slip it in my bag to work so I can while away my lunch break. This synth has ruined all others for me, it's definitely the knob per function, but I recently bought the microbrute and while ...

Re: Sub 37 feature suggestions - firmware updates

Are we getting any closer to a traditional installer? Is 1.0.3 more stable? I've been travelling for a month and thought we'd have more progress by the time I got back. Check back in a month?

Re: Problem with Sub 37 (buzz sound)

I always have to put any buzz down to my house electric wiring. But it's good to see that this issue can be fixed by firmware - and example of great engineering from moog to have that level of control.

Re: Sub 37 cutoff knob: upper range issue?

Yeah, if the filter works without changing preset, then your filter is fine. it's simply that when you do change to a new sound you have to move the knob a bit till you get to the point where the cut off setting is set for that sound. only once you hit the preset cutoff setting will the filter then ...

Re: Took some getting used to, but I'm loving the Sub37

Yeah I'm having fun using the aftertouch on the presets and discovering all kinds of fun modulation! Soft press sparkle has S&H on the aftertouch and some weird distorted LFO on the mod wheel! Fun!!

Re: Anyone else brick their Sub37 with firmware 1.0.2?

These updates are great Amos, it shows us that you're working on the issues, and we can see how thoughtful you are about it, how complex it really is. I might wait till a oboe file uploaded of some kind becomes available. Mostly because I'm too lazy to hook up any of my synths for firmware updates, ...

Re: Third Osc for Sub 37

Hmm dead easy then! An init preset in LP should do the trick... Does this mean for each preset you need an equivalent LP preset? For similar sounding oscillators? Or does the sub 37 give control of such parameters?

Re: Third Osc for Sub 37

I'd be very interested in using my LP as a third oscillator but I'm afraid I cant follow the technical details of what you're talking about at all.

Re: Sub 37 feature suggestions - firmware updates

I understand the desire for the display to show the setting of every knob, but this is a feature of the voyager and was never going to be a feature on the sub 37. The lack of panel space means the lights the LP had to show settings weren't going to be an option either. This synth cost me $2000 thank...

Re: Sub 37 Firmware 1.0.2 Bugs

So should I wait for the sub editor to come out? Or are there things I just can't do until I update to 1.02? I'm still on factory settings. I've been avoiding learning to write presets with sequencers as I vaguely remember this is the issue the 1.02 fixes? How long till the sub 37 editor comes out? ...

Re: Build question on S37

I bleeping love my Sub Phatty. I worship that synth. It is perfect. No offense meant. I wanted to love my LP, and frankly can sit and play preset 29 (Taurus bass) for hours in total happiness. But after years of buying budget synths and seeing their downfall where one or two things make it just not...

Re: Sub 37 updated release date ?

I'm in Canada and just received mine today. :D I pre-ordered last month from Moog Audio in Montréal. I ordered mine 6 months ago, and you get it first? That's so bullshit... What kind of screwed up distribution is this? First delivery was supposed to be end of May, the August, last i saw it was end...

Re: Future owner... current bugs/malfunctioning? Help me!

It's always worth contacting Moog directly with your questions about for instance self servicing options, availability of parts locally etc. Moog are very aware that these instruments are used on stage, need to be quickly serviceable to get back up and running, so I'm sure they'd be happy to help.

Re: Build question on S37

The build feels exceptional. I didn't like the buttons on the LP, except that they light up which is fun. The Sub 37 panel is much more crowded, but organised so logically, and the whole thing feels like a rolls Royce compared to even my LP stage 2. I think because it's a tribute edition with the si...
