Re: Sub 37: Direct Modulations Wish List
Since we're wishing and dreaming, it would be awesome if I could... Assign the Filter/Pitch CV EXP Pedal input to something other than Filter Cutoff or Pitch. - LFO Rate to simulate Leslie speed control. - Arp Rate for texture "chords" - OSC Level for all manner of goodness. - Etc. Or, doe...

Mooging—How do you Moog?
Mooging, to Moog: Conducting affairs in ways that incorporate a Moog. How do you Moog? * * * I've been Mooging since the mid '80s, I guess. If a Juno 60 counts. Soon enough, I joined a band started and playing a Model D and The Rouge. Made some cool music using The Rouge and a Portastudio 4-track. R...

Re: Rack compressor for synth?
I'm using a Dyna Comp for this very purpose, and it is working well. Sub37 -> DynaComp -> MF Delay -> Hardwire Reverb -> DI/Amp Also have an inexpensive Behringer rack compressor that has Noise Gate, Comp, and Limiter sections. I don't think this unit sounds all that great, but for live work is a ve...

There is button under MOD 1/2 DEST that allows one MOD to change the rate of the other MOD.Jeffery&wayne wrote:Is there anyway to have lfo 1 or 2 rate as a mod destination? I can't find it in the manual or minue.

Re: _DemonDan_ Sub 37 Medley
OK. Here's a Soundcloud link to the Seascape sound I created. One minute of ocean-side relaxation! https://soundcloud.com/michael-h-geimer/seascape-sub37 Surf comes from Noise with Filter EG on a slow loop. Same Filter EG allows the birds to come and go, since they live in the high frequencies. Bird...

WOW. They sound almost exactly the same! I'll post mine later today when I can make a quick recording for SC.
Also, really enjoying the whole set of sounds on my headphones right now. Thanks for posting.

Re: Sub 37 on the cover of Sound On Sound mag (Nov)
^Dan hangs out here and helps everyone out with his vast knowledge. I just bumped one of his Sub 37 thread about MOD Destination Routings. Good stuff.

Re: Sub 37 MOD Destination Tips
*Bump* Because this thread is just too good to scroll away! Thanks Dan! Everyday, I go into the Sub37 and try out new mod routings, and new ways of asking the Sub to do more than mono. Cracked me up the night I came up with a sound simulating the ocean, two whales singing, and finally seagulls flyin...

Re: Accessories for the Sub 37
Like this thread! :D EP-3 Expression Pedal controlling the Filter CV gives so much life to the patches. Trick is to save with the Filter very low, so you have ample room to sweep-up into the useful range of the sound during performance. Minifooger Delay is an almost perfect match for the Sub37. The ...

Re: Sub37 MOD OSC 1/2 ON command - resolved
Operator Error! This makes me happy, knowing all is OK and also that I figured things out for myself. My issue came from the INIT patch settings, where MOD 2 includes +50% Aftertouch by default. So, in my situation, MOD2 was waiting for me to engage keyboard aftertouch before sending the control sig...

Sub37 MOD OSC 1/2 ON command - resolved
Been really enjoying the Sub37, and have spent each night exploring different possibilities, especially the various MOD routings. Last night I found what might be a bug, or it might be operator error. Help me out if you can, and thanks for listening. Goal was to have OSC 1 turn ON in response to MOD...

Re: MF drive fave settings.
Filter Sweep
Gain = 0
Output = Unity
Drive = Low
Filter = 0
Tone = ~1:00
This setting is for use with an EP-3 expression pedal controlling the filter to create some nice MOOG-ish sweeps. Use a fuzz/muff pedal to create a square-wave signal from your guitar, and you're off to guitar-synth-land.

Re: Sub 37 - Questions
Also slightly confused about how the Sub37 saves the position of the Volume knob within each Preset, and what the 'rules of engagement' are in regard to this parameter. Obviously this feature should be a big help when setting up a live set, and I bought this to be a performance synth in a rock band....

Re: Yamaha motif xs sound module into sub 37
I 'll be trying something like this tonight at band practice, running Sub37 MIDI Out into a Roland DR-330 sound module. Then sending the Roland audio back through the Sub37. Main benefit is the ability to filter-sweep using the EP-3, and they will share the delay/effects chain. Sounds great here at ...
