Re: MoogerFooger modular - old SciFi movies patch on Soundcl

I thought I won't be starting a new thread with every new upload. So here goes another patch. This time I wanted to make use of the Tap Tempo sync of the MP-201, but ended up with a much simpler, but quite nice, rhythmic patch. The MP-201 is providing two different S&H LFO's to Freqbox's and Rin...

Re: MoogerFooger modular - old SciFi movies patch on Soundcl

very cool. I thoroughly enjoyed these. now following on SC. Thanks, man! I'll probably record something today/tomorrow – I was just about to sell my MP-201 (haven't seen much use till now), when I thought about a nice patch synced via tap tempo… The patch is still on paper, and in my head only now,...

Re: MoogerFooger modular - old SciFi movies patch on Soundcl

I really dig stuff like this. I guess it's all those years of listening to Hendrix. Thanks a lot! You can use your 102 as a simple VCA. I had to just break down and buy a dotcom envgen and vca because I was tired of running those signals to my board and then have to adjust the volume in and out to ...

Re: MoogerFooger modular - old SciFi movies patch on Soundcl

Here's another one. This time with MF-107, MF-102 & CP-251 + TC Electronic Flashback. I don't have a VCA, so to achieve some kind of separation between notes (as well as a short envelope), I'm using CP-215's triangle wave as audio source for the Freqbox. By turning the Drive knob, I'm able to go...

MoogerFooger modular - old SciFi movies patch on Soundcloud

Hi, Here's something for old science fiction movies aficionados (I hope :-) – the latest patch from my weekly sketches. MoogerFoogers MF-107, MF-102, MF-105, CP-251 + TC Electronic Flashback, and reverb from Ableton. CP-251's noise into Murf (slow rate) to create ambiance, MF-107 fed its own OCS Out...

Re: moogerfoogers and koma electronic kommander

I think you should be able to control the volume of the carrier by using the mix, therby getting theremin style pitch and volume control. Nothing plugged in to input. This is based on the use of the MF102 as a VCA as per the Lord of the Ring Mod. Checked it last night – didn't work. As I expected, ...

Re: moogerfoogers and koma electronic kommander

Also, one could plug one of Kommander's CV outputs into CP-251's Multiple, and then use the same signal for frequency of two oscillators (e.g. tuned to a fifth), and play a power chord with one guesture/hand. If you'd like me to try something – let me know. I've got CP-251, MF-105, MF-102, and MF-10...

Re: moogerfoogers and koma electronic kommander

If you plugged one kommander output in to carrier frequency and the other into mix without any other signal coming in, do you get a theremin? Well, you don't need to use the Mix control, as you'll only be using Carrier Out and not Audio Out. Or you could use the Carrier Out (send it to the mixer), ...

moogerfoogers and koma electronic kommander

hi, thought you might find this interesting. first try of my new kommander ( http://www.koma-elektronik.com/products/kommander/ ). cv 1 is controlling ring mod's frequency (carrier out into the mixer, mostly in the left channel), cv 2 is controlling moog's freqbox's frequency (mostly in the right ch...

Re: How do you use the Freqbox?

I use it mostly as an oscillator, but also as a sophisticated dirtbox for the guitar. Also, I like to set it to sync, and insert CP-251'a S&H in the Freq IN while playing the guitar.

Re: not digging the murf, lacks definition

Well, it sure can be subtle – it all depends on the richness of the signal Murf is fed, and the position of the Mix knob. It seems Murf only kicks in noticeably when the knob is past 3 o'clock.

Try another wall socket/powerstripe when you're at it – just to make sure. But from what you wrote it sounds you got a lemon :-(
