OK to use both USB & MIDI with Sirin?

I finally downloaded the Sirin editor (using a Mac) and connected it my Sirin to my computer. Looks interesting, I'm interested in trying out some of the presets - only been using it "manually" up til now - also looking forward to saving some of my own presets. But I realized - I want to p...

Re: Share your synthesizer music!

So I finally managed to process audio through my Sirin! Not as cohesive a piece, but had fun messing around: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcTEa8OiynU Found a pic of the patch - I think I got it right this time! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51213269653_0b1a2fef79_c.jpg Wasn't able to activa...

Re: New Moog Factory Tour Video

This is a great video! I liked the "artist relations" part - Moogerfoogers changed my life in 2002 - I thought I was buying "effects" but was actually embarking on an analog synthesis journey. Incorporating it into my music again is fun - but I gotta break out some manuals for a ...

Re: Share your synthesizer music!

Hey that was cool! Enjoyed it. You weren't actually trying to tune at 5min were you? I think that's when I noticed I was out of tune and went with it! Left the B string de-tuned for a couple of days before I remembered. Did I pull on it too hard? It is a fairly new string, might have been the first...

Re: Share your synthesizer music!

Yesterday due to a variety of factors, I started a quick recording - wanted to use the Sirin, also it was Bob Moog's birthday! Here's what I came up with: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRpsBffNfmo The initial bass part in the video was with this setup (fuzz -> MF-101 with frequency cutoff being co...

Re: Moog Satellite Speaker Connections

I can't help much with the specific synth, but a question that will hopefully help is: do you have any other music gear? Amplifiers? Mixers? That's something that musicians take for granted but you may not be a musician...

Sounds like a cool find!

Thanks! I wish I could try it, but I don't have a Subharmonicon yet.

Subharmonicon & Moogerfoogers

This might be totally obvious, but I have never used anything Eurorack, so I thought I should doublecheck: can I use CV from Moogerfoogers to manipulate things on the Subharmonicon? For example, use the LFO from the MF-103 to sweep the filter frequency on the Subharmonicon? Is it simply a matter of ...

Re: Matriach Not Stereo Recording

I tried swapping cables, using different inputs on my mixer, and even buying new cables. I found that if I plugged the Matriarch directly into the Scarlett I would get stereo sound. Of course, that takes up those two inputs. Thanks for your reply. Stereo basically is 2-channel. If you want stereo I...

Isn't sustain either on or off? Maybe EP-3 isn't the ideal pedal to use? (Or maybe I have no idea what you're talking about!)

Re: some suggested settings?

I sold my Rogue almost 15 years ago so can't really help with settings. But as far as the "constant oscillation sweep" - this might be too obvious but have you adjusted the interval of Osc 2? Sounds to me like they are in unison but a teensy bit off so "beating" at a very slow ra...
