Re: MF-104M Feedback

Nope. The original was designed with a "limiting" circuit to stop the feedback from doing just that - so that you can reap the benefit of not going deaf.

Lots you can do in the fx loop tho ;)

Re: Quiet Wet Signal From Clusterflux?

Alway contact Moog for help. In the meantime you could double check the jumpers are properly set as indicated in the manual. Ensure the power is off before you open the unit. While in there, make sure that nothing is rattling, and that the switched jacks fully contact their homes. Silt question - ar...

Re: Equipment limitations and how we deal with them

I think that it shows how some music has evolved in the way it gets created. Computers being programmed to make music controlling outboard analog gear is currently all the rage. Support for that from a company that is willing to listen will naturally be voiced. It reflects our societal shift towards...

This may work well too - a little cheaper than the others mentioned ( except for the Zbox, which looks interesting!)

Re: MIidi Murf hiss!

Thank-YOU for finally following your own advice of offering something useful to this thread!! If the problem is specifically that the MuRF needs to see a high impedance input signal, then a decent & simple buffer will do the trick. A DIY Buffer can cost a few dollars to make: http://tagboardeffe...

Re: MIidi Murf hiss!

Thanks for sharing. MuRF is a great experience, especially with / because of it's analog oddities.

Re: 105M MuRF - First impressions

As you should be; don't let the honeymoon phase sway your decision to keep it. Make certain it does what you want easily. Mine comes out to jam sporadically, as that is our goal - organic, on the fly. If its not working, I don't use it, or it ruins the vibe etc. That said, when the MuRF fits, it is ...

Re: 105M MuRF - First impressions

The flowing seamlessly together happens at about the number 4 or number 6 on the envelope dial. Further to this, there is an envelope scale midi CC that can be used to stretch the envelopes, which is really cool once you stream midi CC data to it. You could send an LFO from a DAW that cycles from sh...

Re: Saving MuRF patterns in computer

Same here. Mac OSX mountain lion

Theres actually a few bugs that have crept up in the MuRF - both in the firmware and the software editor. Might be time for Moog to plan an update.

Re: Can't send patterns to MuRF 105M (Mac)

Follow the MIDI set up instructions in the pattern editor manual. Choose your card and the MIDI Chanel. Next, create a pattern. On the MuRF itself train the pattern switch to 1. I found when you have the pattern dial set to the pattern you are trying to change it won't do it. In the editor select th...

Re: Roughening up the 102 carrier out

Here are some examples:

Use the square wave.
Use a POG or HOG to get octave up
The Rat is good, but you could use a Big Muff or other fuzz / synth pedal
Add long reverb / bright delay.
crank the drive on the MuRF

Any combinations of the above will get you closer.

Re: SUB 37 as a Cluster Flux controller

ClusterFlux is becoming my fave fooger. A great sound generator, effect and mixing tool. Just too many good things about it.

Glad to see another Moog "controller" being used with it!!

Re: Problem Panning on MF-108M w/ Stereo Output/Input

As the manual states & stiiiiiiive mentioned - Yes, the input of the CF is mono. The input of the El Cap is either a stereo TRS in or a mono stereo in depending on the age of the unit - likely you have the newer version. The channel that you connect to the tip of your Y cable will be the one tha...

Re: heavy Fuzz

You should be able to get the effect from a simple Y style splitter. I've used a boss ls-2 to do it. And yes the sound is great! Add just a little drive from the ring mod, then put a MuRF after on pattern 1 to act as an EQ. Use the mix and drive (into orange / red) to get a good final sound. Or put ...

Re: Share your synthesizer music!

Loving the music shared here!

I finally posted some noodling. I'm completely shocked by what a ClusterFlux can do. Combined with a MuRF and a FreqBox. The notes generated are the Clusterflux, nothing else.
