Thanks Robles - yeah, I need to dig into the LP more - just haven't had the time.

Anyone else? I added a poll in an attempt to drum up interest.

patch design question

Hi all, I've been thinking about this for a little while, and wanted some feedback. Do those of you using the LP design patches from scratch, or do you work off of the presets? When working with either my Micro or Rogue, I seem to remember that the manual had a kind of "blank" starting pla...

Taurus substitute?

So, I was finally able to bring an idea to realization - using the Little Phatty as a Taurus substitute! A few years ago, I recorded a piece using a Rogue as a "pseudo-Taurus" - I didn't have a foot-pedal-controller, so I would play the keyboard in between playing my 6-string bass: taurus ...

Thanks for encouraging me - I found the reference! It's in the addendum (which has the same date as my birthday by the way). It states: "- Warm up period for oscillators It is recommended that a warm up period of about 15 minutes be allowed before using the LP. The LP's VCOs use a heated chip d...

I noticed that a little bit with mine too, though I haven't had that much time to experiment. I was wondering if it needed more time to warm up - my house is pretty cold, and I feel like I remember seeing somewhere that it should warm up around 15 minutes, or am I just making this up?!!!

I'm pretty sure you could do it if you had 2 MF-101's. Put one MF-101 first, getting the clean signal from your bass, then into your fuzz, then into the 2nd MF-101. Take the envelope out from the 1st MF-101 and use it to control the frequency of the 2nd. Oh, and the 1st MF-101 should be off - that w...

I have to agree with GregAE, though perhaps for different reasons. You say you're a guitar player, but that you have played piano. I think it would be foolish to spend thousands of dollars on equipment for an instrument that you haven't even really undertaken yet. If the band wants to buy it all for...

Japanese TV is so bad - so sadistic - so hilarious! I think I liked "old man bites tenderly" the best. The library setting was classic too, the way they kept shushing each other. They do another one where they stay at a traditional Japanese hotel and aren't allowed to laugh. Then random pe...

I was going to suggest loooper , but when I looked at his website, it looks like he's not making pedals at this time. There are other companies that make switchable effects loop pedals, though. It might be worth considering, especially if you start collecting more Moogerfoogers! Gotta figure out tha...

Not sure about the whine, but I can say that the Moogerfoogers are not true bypass. On the plus side, it's not a bad thing having a Moog preamp in your signal chain, but I sympathize with the gain issue. You could put the Moogerfooger in an effects loop so that when you're not using it it's out of t...

Re: OT: Want to learn the synth...

so these past few months i've been pretty interested in synths and whatnot and would like to someday go out and buy one. problem is, i haven't touched a piano seriously since i was in 5th or 7th grade (it's been a looong time). i'm not really interested in doing those fast classical pieces or whate...

I found the LFO in the CP-251 to be nowhere near as deep or slow as the one in the MF-103. It's definitely cool to use an LFO to sweep the frequency of a filter. You can also use the envelope in the MF-101 to control the phaser, like the Pigtronix Envelope Phaser (or whatever it's called). Both the ...

If I were to use them on a guitar pedal board, I would probably get one of those tue bypass loop pedals instead of modifying the pedal. I think that's what I'd probably do too, but I also tend to use them for recording only. I have to agree with most of the other people that have posted that the Mo...
