Yeah, I know it didn't have presets. I thought of those patch sheets (from the original documentation?), like these:
http://www.synthzone.com/midi/moog/mini ... 20BOOK.pdf
Those are classic standard patches for the Mini that might still be fun playing on the Sub 37.

Sub 37 Cookbook?
I wondered if there's something like a "Sub 37 Cookbook": A site where people can share patches and tips about the usage of the Sub 37. I always liked the microKORG Cookbook on Tumblr . Since on Google, I couldn't find anything like that, I assume that such a thing doesn't exist yet. You r...

Re: Which stereo effects unit?
I also use a Lexicon MX300, and I'm pretty happy. The reverbs of the BigSky sound a lot better, I think, but for the price the MX300 is very good.

Re: How is Panel Mode used?
Actually, the longer I use the Sub 37, the more I find myself using *only* the panel mode.

Re: knobs not working with arturia minilab
The knobs on the Minilab are by default configured to work as relative encoders. You have to switch them to work in absolute mode. I can't remember how it worked, as I sold my Minilab, but it was easy, take a look into the manual.

Re: Sub 37: No sound with panel selected?
Hard to tell without seeing the panel. Since the presets work, the synth seems to function, so it has to be some kind of user error. Off the top of my head: - Filter completely closed? - Amp EG Sustain turned to 0, and Attack/Decay very short? - Mute button active? - Sequencer or Arpeggiator active ...

Re: Moog, what's next to develop for the Sub37?...
All in all, I'm pretty happy with the Sub 37. Parameter display is the only thing that would be really important for me. Apart from that, there might still be some bugfixes due. After loading presets and then entering Panel mode, I still have hard jumps in the sound when touching knobs, which should...

Well, the librarian/editor should be free as it was advertised along with the synth.
Next FW features, in my humble opinion, should be: parameter value display and multiple simultaneous MOD destinations per bus.

Re: Slaving a Beat Thang to a Sub 37
Why don't you try it the other way round, and use the Beat Thang as clock master?
In my experience, drums computers are more suitable to be used as master. For example, the Sub 37 will probably change tempo when you load another preset (so do many other synths). Most drum machines don't do that.

Re: Tool for managing presets?
editor is in development, see other threads I know, but it's not there yet, so I'm looking for an alternative until it's finished. With v.1.1 it's a little less cumbersome. Dump each Sub 37 preset as CUR PRESET (Current Preset). This will dump what is currently saved at that location (not any tempo...

Tool for managing presets?
Hi there, I have stored quite some custom presets on my Sub 37. Unfortunately, they are not really in order. Bass, lead, Fx and other presets right next to each other. I know I can transfer presets to the computer and vice versa by using a Sysex tool like C6, but that's rather cumbersome. Is there a...

Re: 1.1.0 is now here!
Try reinitializing the panel mode by pressing that button in and holding it for about 5 seconds. Thanks for the tip. But that doesn't help at all. In fact, it makes everything worse: Initializing sets all parameters back to a default value, regardless of the knob positions. After doing that, it's v...

Re: 1.1.0 is now here!
Yeah, the update is fantastic. Only thing that got broken is the Panel Mode. Quite often, when I switch to Panel Mode, I notice that some parameters aren't what the knob positions are suggesting. Moving the knobs causes a hard jump of the actual parameter value, and then it's correct. Not dramatic, ...
