try using a spoon to carefully pry knobs up & off the pot shafts the d-shaft knobs will also have a metal spacer inside the knob - sometimes they stay on the pot shaft when knobs are removed, pull them off and place back inside each knob or buy a knob pry tool from amazon http://www.amazon.com/A...

do you have a plastic or metal sub37 filter cutoff pot? does your sub37 filter cutoff pot crackle when you turn it manually? it's a known issue that the plastic pots can go bad & moog will service under warranty, requires the right hand panel board to be swapped out and is user serviceable doubl...

If I wanted to amplify the signal to the headphones would I have to buy what I posted, or is there a better alternative? i would not buy the mixer linked, i think it's too basic to be usable, and appears to be designed to convert an existing signal from another mixer into headphone level check this...
