Yes, it is true that Andoid lacks the capability of audio that iOS has. Fortunately, there is a post at google where audio developers are pleading for a more robust audio engine within the droid. I've been trying to use the MP201 in Ableton Live, and it shows up fine on Mac, but not in Windows. It actually recognizes the hardware, and it shows up on the device manager as USB Audio Device, but there are no new MIDI ports in the system. From the reviews I've read, the Sonuus device has quite a lot of latency, making it useless for any serious player.

I would second SteveD, this might have already been built on Max/MSP. Other pieces of software might as well do this, like Reaktor, pd and Bidule.
