Your system should be able to accept gates and CVs via the Amphenol socket on the rear and then route those to your front panel for multiplication and distribution, right?
So if you could mod that front panel to accept cv then couldn't you simply wire up a cable to an Amphenol barrel?

Re: Model D or MFB Dominion 1?
The hole in your heart for the Model D will eat and nag at you until you buy one. People don't look to the Model D for synthesis. It's a tone machine. A friend of mine who works on synths attests to the Dominion as being better than the Voyager. The hole in your heart for a Model D WILL be there al...

Re: Moog IIIC vs. Moog 55
Whatever you plug into channels 1,2,3, and 4 can appear anywhere on A,B,C, or D. In addition to simply processing audio, it will allow you to route your signals to various modifiers. So in the middle of a lead you can completely change the filters you were sending your oscillators to. The EQ is also...

John,
They will fit in a dotcom 22, but not with a power supply in there and I was thinking due to the width of the cabinet if you put separated your bus boards enough you won't have any problems with the ribbons.

Re: Voyager XL as Model 15 Modular Controller
You need a cable like this but I had two cables from Roger and they never did fire my Micromoog, and he never figured it out. But when I got my 1130 restored the Micro functioned perfectly. When I got the same cable made from a friend of mine it functions perfectly. It's a voltage to S-trig cable. h...

They definitely should have allowed some of us to purchase some modules via pre-order like they did with the Taurus 3.
I just want to HEAR the Moog modular in person.

Re: Moog IIIC vs. Moog 55
I designed my modular to be a hybrid of the IIIp and 55. The 984 can be a crucial part of the sound. The IIIc is probably the better synth of the two but to be honest, having the tone of the 901s, the functionality of the 921s, and more filter sections really make custom systems more appealing, espe...

Re: Dear Moog staff
Lou,
You wrote a kind letter and I don't want to take away from that thought from the Moog staff at all. However, you must be writing about the Behringer version of the Model D. No one is copying Moog's work.

Rather than utilize the CP, use the 921 Aux out and go directly to the 921a.

I got the 44 space cabinet, sold the dotcom voice and replaced it with some Synth-Werk, Moon, and the Analog Craftsman Polivoks (no pic of that). At least the desire for the inductor-based Filter Bank was fulfilled. Looking for a studier table though if anyone has any recommendations. I'm thinking a...

Re: Custom wood on Minimoog Model D?
Moog sold an all black Voyager to Kanye with even the keys blackened, and Bernie Worrell had a customized purple cabineted Voyager with all black switches (recently sold for $1875). Customization seems possible. http://images2.bonhams.com/image?src=Images/live/2017-02/08/24130222-4-1.jpg&width=6...

To put the LFO on there but not include the sample and hold is a shame.

Re: Recreating Model D patches on Voyager
I've only had the Voyager for a day but am trying to use it like a model d, e.g. not use the features that weren't available on the original While that isn't a bad approach, it's like buying a modern mustang and then listening to AM stations and only using the lap belts. Explore its potential! I re...
