Re: Midi question for Minimoog (Newbie)

Ok that makes sense. I am trying to play the Minimoog and the Minitaur via the same midi channel and via the same midi keyboard which is not going to happen. Its no problem-- I have already purchased a small midi hub from sweetwater.

Re: Midi question for Minimoog (Newbie)

You could set the Minimoog in Local Off mode. This way the Minimoog will play via the MIDI In and the keyboard of the Minimoog is sending out its note and trigger information via its MIDI Out. So you have to connect the Minitaur to the Minimoog's MIDI Out. To set the Minimoog (reissue) to local off...

Re: Midi question for Minimoog (Newbie)

Thank you. I think I may be the slowest person who ever got into synthesizers! Even though I read the Manuel and even that section I really did not understand it would work that way.

Midi question for Minimoog (Newbie)

I am using a midi keyboard to run all of my synths and have a newbie question. I want to be able to run three synths with the one midi keyboard. I have the keyboard split so that half plays my sub 37 and I want the other half to play the Minimoog and the Minitaur as 1 synth. So midi signal chain is ...

Midi click!!!

I recently purchased a Linnstrument midi keyboard to control my Model D and my Sub 37. Even though it has a lot of functionality it is just a basic midi keyboard sending universally recognized midi signals. The problem I am having is that when using it with the Model D it is creating a clicking soun...

from the synth, global button, on the third page you'll have an entry for this.

Another way, start the upgrader with the sub connected by USB, it will show the current version, and the one to be updated.

Regards.
Thanks for the reply.

Re: Sub 37 Editor problems

Wow sounds like a few problems with the editor. I just received a link from Moog for the editor and an updated version of firmware for my Sub 37.

Before I install the new firmware I would like to make sure I dont already have it. How do I check which version I already have?

Re: Linstrument or Roli Seaboard

I ended up going with the Linnstrument. Its the second one in my OP. I have to say that this is an incredible keyboard and has really enhanced my playing already. It is totally different than a piano (I think its a superior design) but WOW is it worth every penny. With the Model D I only get velocit...

good luck,

That is helpful. I had not taken the time to download the editor.

sub 37 midi in question

I have purchased a Linnstrument midi keyboard to use to play all of my synths. I am wondering about the midi in capacity for the sub 37. Right now I can control note, pitch bend, and filter cutoff all with one push of the key on the Linnstruemnt but what I cannot do is use the midi CC function of the...

Linstrument or Roli Seaboard

I was wondering if anyone here has either of these two very innovative midi controllers and has used them successfully with Moog equipment and what your experience with it has been? They are both a bit pricey and have a TON of functionality that would not be useful on a hardware synth but the expres...

Re: Minimoog pre amp?

A good preamplifier is important to get the best out of your Model D (or anything that deserves love). A high quality compressor gives it edge. I have my synths, including the Model D, hooked up to a SSL Matrix sound board. Have tried some different preamps and compressors (LA610, TL Audio channel ...
