Topic: LP Flat when 'Pitch' selected as Mod Destination??

I just checked, and mine isn't doing it. There's no audible change at all. However, when I hook the LP up to my Peterson VS-1, it shows that the pitch goes ever so slightly *up* when pitch it selected as the mod destination (this happens to both oscillators). But we're talking a negligible amount --...

If you want to try splitting the signal and get something other than an octave, you could try pitch-shifting the side that goes to Carrier In using a HOG or something like that.

P.S. For clarity, notice that now we're talking about two different inputs (frequency CV versus Carrier In).

That's right, I meant the VX-351. It taps into the Voyager and allows you to send CV outputs to other devices (so, for example, it has one jack which sends a CV corresponding to the pitch of the Voyager keyboard). The Voyager already has many CV inputs, so this expands on that by adding a range of o...

No problem. I didn't notice at first that you have a Voyager. So the best way to make a tracking ring mod would be to get the CV expander for that, and you could use the Pitch CV out. I'm hoping to do something similar with my Little Phatty, if I ever hear back from the Canadian service centre about...

Hi filter... A lot of people (maybe most) use ring modulators with a fixed carrier frequency. That's because this allows you to get a very wide range of different modulation effects by putting different pitches into it. Now of course that won't produce well-defined notes according to any typical mus...

I'd like to preface this by saying that I love Moogerfoogers (especially the 101), and it could be that something is wronger than usual in your case. However, I found that in my guitar rig the 101 did have a higher noise floor than I would like (especially since I prefer to run filters before distor...

IMO, the only advantage of the Tribute edition is that it's rare and might become desirable to collectors. But in every other way, I think the Stage II is the way to go. If you really want wood, you can get custom side panels for the stage.

One addition to the good answers above -- a sequencer can sequence more than just notes. You can also use one to create preset patterns of change in other parameters, like filter cutoff or whatever else (either as a sequence of control voltages which you then route to the desired parameter, or as a ...

I have one question about the implementation of the Mod Bus CV out. Is that tapped post Mod Wheel and and Amount control? Or does it route the full Source CV directly to the output?

If I were you, I'd hold on to the ring mod. In all your posts, you don't give any strong reasons for making this trade. Are there specific and important musical projects you need to finish right now that absolutely require a sound from the Echolution?

Not really ... I did frequently feed it in through the Audio In, but I don't have any kind of MIDI-CV converter so I never used it as a tracking oscillator, just as a drone and for modulation.

I'm the only owner ... I bought it about two years ago and never took it out of the house, so it's in very good condition (could pass for new). I'm selling it because I want to raise funds for a Prophet 08, and since I bought my LP I just haven't been using the Freqbox nearly as much as I thought I ...

They're pretty slow about putting things on the website, and I only brought it in last Monday. It was still there Wednesday, so my guess is they still have it. What I'd suggest is that you give them a call: as far as I know they will ship, especially if you're in Canada.

Freqbox on Consignment in Ottawa

If anyone's interested, my Freqbox is on consignment at Spaceman Music in Ottawa for $250 Canadian (including the power supply and manual). They don't have it on the website yet, but it was still there as of Wednesday last week (and the synth market being what it is in Ottawa, it's probably still th...
