Re: Post your latest purchase!!

The rev 1 and rev 2 Prophet-5 used the SSM2040 not the SSM 2044. After Sequential made the switch to CEM with the rev 3 P5, they never used any SSM ICs after that model. Thanks for the additional details MC. Was aware of that design change, and always heard that the early Prophets sounded better be...

Feeding the modular beast with the new Corsynth C110 filter module, a recreation of a classic LPF based on the SSM 2044 integrated circuit, but using the newly reissued SSI2144 IC. For those who may not know, the original SSM 2044 IC was used in the highly regarded Rev 1 Prophet 5 as well as other c...

Curious to see your modular arrangement, I clicked on the links in your signature. Neither is valid. Thought you'd want to know.

Hi Scot, and welcome to our little club! I recognize your name from other forums I frequent.

Regarding your gear (past & present), I'd have to say that too many Moogs are just enough! :D

Re: Stage Rig - 80s Rock band

Cool rig MC, and good on you for sharing! You're right about the visual aspect of performance - I perform in a duo and know first-hand that people love to see the gear being played & manipulated. "Foreplay" seems like a formidable challenge live, but I'm sure the Hammond is up the task...

Re: Midi to CV convertor 1/4 inch jacks.

Actually, there are a lot of choices here in a lot of formats (Euro, 5U, & desktop). Google 'Convert midi to cv' to get an idea. One of the cheaper solutions is the Korg SQ1, which, besides being a sequencer, can convert MIDI to CV and Gate. About $100.00. You'll need to add a couple of 3.5mm-1/...

Re: Moog CP215

Welcome Luis! In addition to its standard offerings (listed by Stiiiiive), there are some interesting tricks that the CP-251 can do to further its basic utility. Using a simple feedback loop, the LFO can also output ramp, sawtooth, and pulse waves. Also, the LFO can also easily exceed the rated spec...
