Re: NRPN messages to/from the Sub 37
If you're looking for higher precision, you need to look at another setting: CC FORMAT (7-bit/14-bit). You don't necessarily need NRPN for 14-bit precision. 7 bits allow for 2^7 = 128 different values (0-127) 14 bits allow for 2^14 = 16384 different values (0-16383) Alright, I've tried with 14 bits...

Re: NRPN messages to/from the Sub 37
Thanks for the answer, I've tried it, but when I'm recording in Logic, and go to the parameters automation, the Value Range is still 0-127 (as in CC), and I'm trying to get to that NRPN because of the 0-16374 value range...
Maybe there's something to be done within Logic, which I don't get?

NRPN messages to/from the Sub 37
Hi guys, I came across this while reading the Sub 37's manual: "Since the Sub 37 has over 150 parameters saved with each sound, it is not possible to assign a standard MIDI CC to every parameter. For complete MIDI output from every panel knob and button, you will need to set the KNB NRPN/CC par...

Using Scala with the Sub 37 (or any other synth)
Hello, I couldn't figure out on my own how to properly use Scala with my Sub 37 and I also couldn't find any tutorial on how to use Scala with a synth.
Would anyone be so kind to share any tutorial, or explain it step by step, please?
Thanks

I was wondering the same a couple of weeks ago, but I think it is supposed to work the way it does. However, I'm not completely sure...

I ask because that's precisely what that parameter chooses.
Oh there you go I wouldn't have thought of it. You're right, now it works.
Thank you!

Sub 37 - Fine Tune knob isn't working when trying to scroll
Hello, I've found that I can't scroll through available characters when tweaking the Fine Tune knob, in order to name a new Preset or when trying to set % amount in Edit Mode. But it is working, when I'm using it for its initial purpose (Fine tuning). Could it be a firmware bug and would it be fixed...

Re: Sub 37 updated release date ?
Had mine delivered today, from Andertons UK. Ordered it on 10th of February No problems with the keys or bleeding light from the panel. Just when I was doing the firmware, on "sub37_1_0_3_step3.syx" it said Error on my Sub 37's display, but I'll look around on the forum to find out if ther...

Re: _DemonDan_ Sub 37 Medley
I'm not near a Sub 37 right now, but I have a pretty good memory of how I made Hidden Cove. It was an experiment in seeing if I could get three different synthesizers out of a single Sub 37. A slow Looping Filter Envelope modulating the Low Pass Filter Cutoff is creating the waves from the Pink Noi...

Re: _DemonDan_ Sub 37 Medley
Hi, loved the "Martian Sdctrss" preset, what I think I'm hearing is a 2 OSC in action, one square wave and one sawtooth? and Arpeggiator with +2 oct range. Not sure if its in Duo Mode tho, am I on the right path? If not, could you break it down for me, please? :) I also like the the previo...

Re: Sub 37 MOD Destination Tips
Hi _DemonDan_ and many thanks for the tips! I've been reading the Sound Synthesis & Sampling book by Martin Russ and I find it very educational, however, it is covering more of a basic stuff about synthesis. The tips that you've posted, is exactly what I'm looking for! Could you please give me a...
