till,

Yes, wavetable modulation is an amazing feature on the Q, and it's an addition which was not originally advertised as part of the OS.

Hmm, My father worked near Moog's mid 70's plant in buffalo. That is why i was able to convince my parents to get me a Moog Voyager (they think Dr. Moog is a cool entrepreneur! and rightfully so). I'm still a Yankee dispite the fact that i was raised in redneck FL. I hate Jacksonville!!! I could tel...

can a new modular setup produce the same kind of sounds as a 2600? I really want a totally tripped out noise making machine. Or are there any other vintage synths that would do the same trick? How much $$ are you willing to spend? Modern modulars can do just about anything if you are willing to spe...

I would agree that the Casio is the Joker.

I own a Voyager AE, Waldorf Q, Roland Juno 106, Siel DK 600, Nord Electro and an Ensoniq MR.

But the only sampler i own among this mighty group is a Casio SK-5! Hehe, all 1.5 seconds of it.

The UK situation is a bummer. That guy from Whales (or whomever is holding Dr. Moogs namesake hostage) should lighten up.

As for the presets, I'm not a big fan of the AE's pre's either. I say just erase them all and start from scratch.

Yes,

The Q lacks continuously variable waveforms. That is one of my favorite features on the Voyager. Waveform modulation produces some amazing timbres. And it's analog

Oh well! I just ordered the field upgrade. It'll be nice to be able to tweak and save and tweak and save ect.... BTW, jeepyboy, according to the manual for the field upgrade procedure the 7 banks are filled with the presets for the different voyager models (i.e. sig ed., AE, RME, EB, and the in hous...

I've been wondering if the V3 hardware field upgrade is really worth the price and the effort.

I noticed in squarewave that the issue of the issue with aftertouch may be a hardware issue. Would this require another field upgrade to change/fix?
