Re: Firmware Patch for Mother-32

I think it is being overlooked that what is different in this jack than on others is that one single jack is a combo stereo-headphone/mono-out and the unexpected behavior may be due to a minor flaw. Not quite correct. The 1/4" out works as a 'Mono to both sides of a headphone with proper phase...

Re: MF-105M factory reset

Try contacting Moog, as they would be best equipped to answer you.

Hint: try losing the attitude, you'd be amazed at how people will respond to you in like manner. You might also find that the problem is in the hardware you're using to hook up the Sysex dump with.

Cheers,

Yes, the advantage to using a higher voltage is that you will now have a functional door stop.

Re: Temperature Compensation Questions

Another thing to consider is stage lights. They can heat things up well above normal studio temps, and it's this that the early MiniMoogs were suffering under more than anything. You'd have the beast all tuned up and ready to go, then the stage lights would come on and the poor thing would wail out ...

Re: Problems sequencing Werkstatt with CV Gate

I'd contact Moog directly on this one. Most likely the MD is not sending a high enough voltage for the gate... that or it's sending a rising edge when the Werkstatt needs a falling edge (or vice versa). Just guessing here... the gang at Moog can sort you out much quicker.

Re: Multi-Moogerfooger power supply

Will 500mA have any adverse effects on devices that are spec'd for 300-400mA? Your mA needs to be the same or higher than what the pedal needs. It could be a million times higher without any problem but if you go lower, you might get weird results, possibly even damage your gear. The original Fooge...

Re: RME wood panels

Even if they were made on the same day, the variations in two different boards could give you that amount of difference. In most cases, they would send the closest match they could find, though it's possible that that's all they had at the time. Fortunately, it's hard to see both panels at the same ...

Re: Voyager XL TRS connections

Anything that the Expression Pedal can be plugged into has to have a TRS jack. The jack will send out a small amount of voltage on the Ring and the pedal will return part or all of that voltage on the Tip. If you instead send a CV into that jack, it will just send that voltage to ground where it wil...

Hey Tomto,

That was a very cool read. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being so into ELP and being such a good friend to Keith.

If you want the sound of a DX7, best to use a DX7. The MiniMoog sucks at sounding digital.

Price almost always equals quality of sound, especially true when it comes to analog gear. Ever hear a Dave Smith instrument? And then a much more expensive Moog?

Re: Religion and Politics thread coming soon....

Funny that, I've never heard of the term '3HO'. Then I looked them up and found that this is Yogi Bhajan's group in New Mexico. We used to do performances there at the compound and I got to know several of the members and ex-members. They make a great spiced tea, that's for darn sure. Though Yogi Bh...
