Re: Question for Moog owners.

Cheapest I've seen a Model D is for around $3,000 on feeBay. Not even asking that much for the car.

Re: Question for Moog owners.

Very interesting point of view. Have a lot to think about. I hate having to think about things, I'm terrible with decision making. :? If I can get the car sold, I'll have enough for the Voyager. Ever since day one, have always wanted a MiniMoog. Little Phatty with CP-251 would also be good. Lots to ...

Re: Question for Moog owners.

From looking at feeBay, could pick up a Little Phatty and CP-251 for around $1,100. Going to attempt selling the car. Maybe someone will want to trade a MiniMoog for it, make things easy on me for once. :P

Re: Question for Moog owners.

Imagine that'd be frustrating. I just wish they would've kept it... I can't remember exactly how much the OS originally sold for, but I remember it being a good bit less than the Performer even. Who knows, maybe they'll re-lease it. Got done looking browsing the manual, one thing I noticed is that o...

Re: Question for Moog owners.

Hmm, time to read through both manuals extensively it seems. Old School seems to offer everything I'd want. MIDI, touch pad, and patch memories could live without. Shame they made it a limited run, it's a good idea. You just want the sound, without all the other stuff. Makes getting a Voyager more a...

Re: Question for Moog owners.

Ah ok, thanks for clarifying. Was being kind of wishful in that you could fully pan to either the lowpass or highpass filter. Just browsing through the manual, the Voyager seems to offer the best everything in one box features wise. One thing I hate in a synth is limitations on features. I want ever...

Re: Question for Moog owners.

Noticed the Voyager has a highpass/lowpass mode. How does that work exactly? Does it just make a bandpass filter? Or can you move it from lowpass or to highpass with the spacing control and bandpass there in the middle? Really just feeling save up for the Voyager. Hopefully an Old School will pop up...

Re: Question for Moog owners.

That or find a plain Performer model. Kind of want to hold out and get the Select series.

Just how beautiful is that? Unless I can find someone that shares my tastes and is selling theirs.

Re: Question for Moog owners.

I'm far from rich. 60's Cadillac isn't as expensive as you'd think, just all the parts are. Today's premium fuel with lead additive is more than enough for it. It was gotten at a time when I really wasn't thinking in a practical sense. I have a 95 Celica ST 5-speed now, gets combined 29 with being a...

Re: Question for Moog owners.

Have read a lot of good things about the Yamaha. Mainly the multi-mode filters. Guess I'll be selling the Cadillac then. Should be able to get enough out of it to buy a Voyager, or be real close to it anyway. Have my Celica now anyway, and it doesn't suck down premium leaded gas like it's 20 cents a...

Re: Question for Moog owners.

how much are you already "into synth's" ? Very much so. Been playing synths for 5 years now. Doesn't sound like a long time, but I'm 20. Would've started sooner, but it took awhile for me to get the money for my first synth, an Alesis Ion. I like programming just as much as I do playing. ...

Re: Question for Moog owners.

I wish my driveway and garage was big enough. :( Driveway/garage stretcher! It's only 18.5 feet long. :P I'll throw in another vote for the LP + CP-251. I also had a hard time dealing with the lack of an audio noise source and the single mod bus, but adding a CP opens things up enough that the LP r...

Re: Question for Moog owners.

Interesting and useful information!

Got to looking around feeBay again, seems some of the older Voyagers go for around $2,000. $850 is the most I've ever spent on a musical instrument, quite a jump.

Re: Question for Moog owners.

For noise as an audio source, there's the CP-251, which when purchased with a Little Phatty, adds up to less than the cost of a Voyager. Suppose so. That or could run MIDI out of the Phatty into the MIDI in of one of my synths with noise, then run output of that into the Phatty. Really would...
