Re: Not able to capture Pitch Wheel MIDI CC info

Maybe Cubase is filtering the pitch bend data? In Nuendo, under preferences (midi) there are a bunch of check boxes to filter out certain kinds of data. Just a guess.

Re: velocity sensitivity sub 37

I only notice this on the black keys. They are definitely more quick to reach maximum velocity. There was talk about the springs used in the keys. Something about different springs for the black keys, I don't remember exactly...Do a search for "springs." When it bothers me on a certain par...

Re: Sub 37 waveshape oscillator's

If you really need OSC 1 or 2 to be a perfect square wave you might need to use an oscilloscope when dialing it in. The knobs for the wave forms are never exactly in line with the graphics printed on the panel. My perfect square wave happens just beyond where the square wave graphic is on the panel....

Re: Sub 37 Shipping Blues

I've heard so many of these stories. My 1st Sub 37 arrived with an extra outer box via Sweetwater and it still had issues that were put down to shipping. Maybe, just maybe it is time to rethink how things are packaged because the shipping companies simply don't care at all. Ex employees have gone on...

Re: Stuck Midi Notes after PGM-change.

I get this too but it is rare. I don't use patch changes in my songs so this only occurs when I'm futzin around to find something. It is annoying but not a big deal for me.

Re: Post your latest purchase!!

I know this is probably sacrilegious here but I just acquired a Roland JD-XI. Yes, you can clip it to your belt and carry it around between 2 fingers but the sheer depth of synthesis in this tiny thing is not proportional to the weight or cost. The 2 Digital synths are quite deep. Update: My girl ju...

Re: Sub37 arpeggiator dropping out

I haven't experienced this but I rarely use the "Order" setting. I have both USB and DIN connected. USB talks to the editor only. DIN handles the midi notes, controller data and clock in Nuendo.

Re: Sub 37 pitch variance saved to patch not global setting

This is the way analogue synths actually vary. Really? Cause my vintage Minimoog doesn't sound like this at all. It has a smooth, slight drift that is pleasing and never a hard step like what you hear on the Sub when variance is turned on. Even at the most subtle settings. The key to using this in ...

Re: Sub 37 pitch variance saved to patch not global setting

I've tried to use this function but it doesn't sound quite natural to me. It seems to randomly pick a static value for each new note somewhere within the variance limit that you set. So one note might have very slight detuning while the next note has a completely different detune value. I could hear...

Re: Where is Midi Learn in the Editor?

Have you messed around with the "Mapping" page of the Sub37 Editor? I haven't because I use the Sub as a controller and it all just works as expected. I'm not even sure if the mapping page will let you do this...it might only change the Sub37's internal assignments. But then again it might...

Re: Post your latest purchase!!

I can't speak for the OB-6 editing / library software but I actually stay away from the Sub 37 Editor and try to do things in the box as it were. I've had a few weird experiences with the software (release version) and I'm always afraid it will wreck a sound I've created or do something else un-int...

Re: Post your latest purchase!!

OB-6 Desktop. Enough said. K.... WOW!!!! I didn't mean to sound negative towards either company...Just short on time. I will say this. In my experience, Moog is blowing the competition out of the water on the software side of things. The Sub37 Editor is miles ahead of the OB-6 editor. I didn't real...

Re: Sub37 editor not connecting (Windows only)

The Sub37 is class compliant and uses the generic windows MIDI driver, it does not have it's own driver. It appears that the generic driver is not multi client so you can not use the Sub37 midi port from 2 programs simultaneously. When I have Cubase open it is not possible to run the Sub37 editor a...
