How much would you pay for such a thing? Wonder if Moog Music will ever offer these for sale?

We'll settle down when more people get knobs, thanks.

Anyone got one outside continental USA?

Re: Free gift from Moog?

The way to have handled this would be to send knobs unannounced with a 'surprise' note to recent purchasers. Then when the buzz is humming in the forums, announce it officially and get current shipping addresses. I am thinking the shipping is given to a third party and there are problems out of Moog...

Re: Analog synths are now craftmanship :)

I'm not sure that photo is helping the cause of old is better :) Lots of things ran hotter with unneccessary power comsumption and there was so often mains hum and semiconductor noise in the background. That's my recollection when that gear was brand new. I suspect that really low noise electronics ...

Re: Analog synths are now craftmanship :)

Aren't the components, especially semiconductors, longer lasting now? There was more variability of specs and less lifetime reliability back then.

Re: Analog synths are now craftmanship :)

"Army rated" sounds like sending detuned saws to the disrupt the enemy... Wondering how reliable the original modulars are. Not in tuning, but in failures. I'm asuming that modern board construction will prove longer lasting and that's why I won't buy old analog. What is the typical workin...

Analog synths are now craftmanship :)

Ironic to see Moog over the last decade sell the craftmanship angle. We see the final assembly like its some specialist craft passed down from generation to generation. The actual clever bits are ignored - the design and the PCB. In the '60s the sound was new and completely rejected by traditional m...

Re: Getting closer to Voyager discontinued with Sub Phatty?

Are the current Voyager PCBs make in USA? That part is already contracted out, so if you want to complain about loss of manufacturing in USA, it has already happened at Moog.

Getting closer to Voyager discontinued with Sub Phatty?

Sub Phatty is another SMT synth. The packed dip IC boards of the Voyager are looking more expensive to manufacture and less reliable compared to SMT. Are we getting closer to either the end of the Voyager or a completely redesigned equivalent?

Re: Best fooger after MuRF?

Not much high end in the delay of the 104, just understand what it does before splashing out. My suggestion is the phaser 103. I know, I know, a phaser sounds like a phaser. But when you can freeze the freq and choose the phase or inverse phase output, it is an eq and stereo widening tool. It works ...

Re: Predictions for new Moog Products this year

Moog would do well to respond to the MacBeth Micromac with a cut down Voyager in a desktop Taurus like box. Ooh yummy. Might have been close to the mark if I do pat myself on the back. Shame I then ruined it with Actually, now I change my mind. Macbeth have done it so well, Moog shouldn't bother :(...

Re: Predictions for new Moog Products this year

The touch surface and my finger don't get along. There's too much friction and my finger just gets stuck at some point and it doesn't feel at all comfortable. So I called it useless. Mine came pre-scratched too just so I didn't feel bad if I damaged it (thanks Moog :( ). I also don't like the feel o...
