Re: MP-201 MIDI to CV with DFAM

Thanks, Stiiiiiiive. I will give this a try this weekend. The Velocity is just an attribute of the note on function, and doesn't have its own CC. I figure I would just use an arbitrary CC # and use it to control the velocity on the DFAM. If the MP-201 can convert midi cc's to cv, it should do what I...

MP-201 MIDI to CV with DFAM

I think I know the answer to this, but couldn't find anything definitive on the forum, so I figured I would post here and see if I could gain any insight from the knowledgeable folks here. My plan is to control the DFAM with an iPad sequencer, in order to have a longer pattern and/or varying time si...

Re: Need Voyager midi Note on to override Note off

Have you checked the keyboard mode on the Voyager? It should be set to 'last note'. You can find that in Edit Mode. From the manual, page 53: 3.3 KEYBOARD MODES KEYBOARD MODE allows you to select one of 4 types of keyboard priority for a preset. The keyboard priority determines what happens when mor...

Re: How to hook up Werkstatt as 2nd OSC

You will need to connect the Mother KB output from the M32 to the VCO EXP In in the Werkstatt and then tune the oscillator with the Freq knob on the Werkstatt so that the note is in tune with the Mother. If it doesn't track going up and done the scale, you will need to calibrate the Werkstatt OSC. I...

Re: Mother 32 Receiving MIDI Clock but Not Notes

From what I recall, when MIDI clock is sent, it disables the local and midi keyboard control until the sequence is started. If you want to control it locally, or with a MIDI controller, you need to hit the start/stop sequence button on the Mother in order to re-activate local control (this would inc...

Re: How to hook up Werkstatt as 2nd OSC

I have had success by sending the EG out of the M32 to the VCA CV on the Werkstatt, if you want to use the Werkstatt output to a mixer.

Also, in order to get the pitches to match, you need to calibrate the Werkstatt osc to 1v/octave. The method for doing this is in the CV Expander documentation.

Re: Sync Sub 37 arpeggiator to logic

I think you could just plug the usb out of the sub37 into the macbook and pass midi through there. No need to run it through the audio interface.

Re: Low Pass Filter Stereo In/Out

If you got two MF-101's, you would likely need a CP-251, or other CV mixer with a mult section to split the expression pedal CV. That adds some cost to the equation, though. You could maybe split the expression pedal with a Y cable, but you would also split the CV value, which may have undesired eff...

Re: Moog 15 app won't stop playing a sound

You will need to run the osc through an envelope generator. Otherwise, there is nothing to release the note.

Re: Changing default pitch bend value

Thank you. The way that was written was unclear. i thought that was only to set the value going out on the assign cv jack, but it makes sense that would be the same as what it responds to when pitch bend is applied. Thank you for the help.

Changing default pitch bend value

Hi there, I have looked around for answers on how to change the default pitch bend range on the Mother, but am not having any luck. The manual is a little unclear on this, in my view. MIDI PITCH BEND MIDI pitch bend messages are added to, or subtracted from the Keyboard CV signal. The Mother-32 defa...

Re: Anybody mounting their MFs to a pedalboard/power supplie

I have drilled holes in the pedal board where the rubber feet on the MF's are, and then just screwed in the rubber feet through the board. Of course, this only works on particular styles of boards. It's pretty quick and easy to remove them for one off's by just unscrewing them from the board with th...
