Re: MF-103 Sweep In bleed

What are you using sweep in to do? Apologies if this sounds patronising as it is not meant to; do you know what the “sweep in” is for? It is different from the “sweep” jack. If you want to get an LFO or envelope to sweep the phaser then use the “sweep” jack. The “sweep in” is for when you want to sw...

Parameter amounts in display on Sub/Subsequent 37

I was wondering if it might be possible to make a couple of useful additions to the firmware so that knob values could have a numeric value shown in the display when turning them. (The Korg Monologue does this and it’s a really handy feature.) This would have a couple of benefits: It’d be possible t...

Re: Subsequent - controlling noise directly with LFO?

If you want the noise’s volume to be swept by the LFO then that is possible too: press the Mod Dest button until “noise level” is illuminated.

Re: Subsequent - controlling noise directly with LFO?

Are you trying to get the filter to sweep only the noise audio without the oscillators sounding? Could you not mute the oscillators, unmute the noise source and turn up its knob to have just noise playing when you hit a key? Then assign either mod bus 1 or 2’s source to an LFO waveshape and turn up ...

Are the Minitaur’s CV inputs protected from over-voltage?

I’d appreciate any insight into this. I’ve just ordered a Sonicsmith Squaver P1 which outputs a 0-9V gate signal. There is a demo from the manufacturer where it is used with a guitar to drive a Minitaur. I asked the manufacturer if they attenuated the signal and he said he just plugged the Squaver’s...

I ordered the Squaver last night. I’ll let you know how I get on. Thanks again for drawing my attention to it.

Holy cow! Thanks for pointing these out! I’m definitely going to have to give these a go. If it works it could replace quite a bit of my bass pedal setup! I really appreciate your help!

Re: Update to MF-101 lowpass filter

No pedal that I think about right now. I guess a Korg X911 or MS20 would be overkill, as well as a tiny modular system. You may want to ssearch amongst for pedals with trigged envelopes the few units with a CV out... probably few but hey! :) Thanks for the heads-up on the MS-20 mini - I’ll definite...

Re: Update to MF-101 lowpass filter

Cool, thanks for the info. I knew there was a reason I should check the EHX pedal. I had another idea, which I’m not sure exists already (if it does, please point me in its direction). It is to have a device which takes my audio input signal, sends audio out, which I could send to the external in of...

Re: Update to MF-101 lowpass filter

I don’t quite follow why my suggestion wouldn’t be a proper FX loop. I’m thinking of the same thing as found in the Wonderlove by 3Leaf audio. There’s a send and return jack from the pedal; my bass’s signal is what drive the filter sweep and the filter is applied to whatever is plugged into the loop...

Update to MF-101 lowpass filter

If the folks at Moog ever decide to revise the MF-101 I’d love to see the following features added: Inverted envelope sweep (either on a toggle switch or by making the “envelope” knob bipolar. FX loop - it’d be so useful to be able to use my instrument’s original input signal to drive the filter swe...

Re: Preset always has a different sound when selected.

Are you selecting your presets via the editor or via the hard buttons? I wondering if you are occasionally jumping to the “panel settings” preset (preset 00) which reflects the actual knob positions. I had a similar issue with parameters randomly changing. Adam Pryor from Moog tech support suggested...

Re: Subsequent 37 CV odd behavior

I had a similar problem on my Minitaur (among a few other issues with the CV input) where the patch had altered itself either whilst I was playing or when I left the room and came back. Again it was without any changes to parameters being made by me. Same here, with the Minitaur, Plus other issues....

Re: Connecting Bass Guitar to Minitaur

The Sonuus G2M v3 will do this. You can either use it to trigger the VCOs and envelopes via MIDI (it is a pitch-to-MIDI) converter. If you plug bass from the G2M’s audio through socket to the minitaur’s externsl audio input and turn off the VCOs, you can have the envelope generator sweep the filter ...

Re: CV Only Producing Two Notes...

I’ve also had this problem. I took it back to the shop yesterday and the assistant rolled back the firmware to 2.2.0 and ran the CV calibration routine. That seemed to work so he reinstalled 2.2.1 and ran the routine again but this didn’t work. Rolling back to 2.2.0 and repeating the process also di...
