Re: Tell us about your rig
here's the link to a site that has photos of multikeyboards with touch screen interfaces and pedal boards... food for thought.
I still have to find the IKEA table info... this pipe organ simulation setup is, however, pricey. Absolutely amazing stuff.

Re: Tell us about your rig
EricK, ...there's an IKEA table that might do it for you. Users of the Hauptwerk software, which is an incredible pipe organ simulation, often build multi-keyboard rigs that also include full pedal boards underneath, all at the right height, etc. As a pipe organist, I can tell you that having your p...

Re: Velocity control to volume of the notes?
... not that it might not be useful, but musically, it's actually more natural to tie in filter to velocity... and you can connect a pedal to control that, so it's very very playable. As you close the filter, you get a beautiful (no other word for it!) decrease in harmonics (obviously) but also a co...

Re: what should moog release next?
...they'll never build it, but a wind controller, a la AKAI's EWI would be interesting. It could either have it's own sound source, or be connected via CV to an existing Moog synth (my preference) . Make it as simple as possible, so that the keyboard/wind player can just pick it up in the middle of ...

Re: Aftertouch
... AT for stuff like vibrato, trem, etc., could be cool. for filter sweeps, though, nothing beats an expression pedal hooked to the Filter CV... I had AT on my old Oberheim for years, and never really put it to good use... but that's just me.

Re: Light weight plastic version of Little Phatty Stage?
... i doubt they would go down that path, only because they would simply be confusing the product line. ...in my opinion, the weight of the unit serves to keep it nicely on the keyboard stand, really gives a nice solid feeling to the playing. ... I agree, if you're transporting it in a good case, it...

Re: Little Phatty + Aftertouch
..i know it's not the same thing, but make sure you plug an expression pedal into the filter CV input... frees up your hands to use the mod wheel for what you MAY want aftertouch to do for you. Are you using the LP as a polyphonic MIDI controller? ... it does work that way, although I've only tested...

Re: auto-tune: do i get nice analog drifts if i turn it off?
...not to hijack the thread, but I owned a Rogue for almost 20 yrs, so I might have an honest opinion on it... I really did enjoy the, well, rustic-ness of it, and the random LFO... BUT, and this is big, the interface left a lot to be desired... those sliders just never felt great for live performan...

Re: New LPII user
... I did use the LP as a MIDI controller... Kinda strange to get used to the polyphony, but it works fine. If you haven't yet picked up a Moog EP expression pedal, get one... inexpensive ($ 40. or so) and it frees your hands from at least one control. I use it for Filter Cutoff, and that will proba...

Re: Synthesis Lesson
I've taught this before (!)... one example that brings home the idea that we are in fact dealing with a "real" instrument: Explain how an oscillator is a simply a sound source, then compare it to other instruments' sound sources: a violin works well as a demo, as they can actually see the ...

Re: Amos, any chance of changing the glide?
...you can also control the glide by playing the keyboard during the glide, if it's one of sufficient duration. Not quite what was being requested, but an oft overlooked ability. For ex., play the highest note (with glide on) then the lowest, and as it goes down, press the octave down button, then a...
