Re: Moog Voyager Presets
Welcome to this forum! There is a function in the MASTER menu called FACTORY SETUP. If the memory might be corrupted and the patches are not worth to store, try to use the FACTORY RESET function and then the FACTORY SOUNDS function. They are on page 69 onwards in my PDF version of the Voyager manual...

Re: 1.6 update ?
... Back to " support Poly Aftertouch over Midi ", that's exactly what I am looking for to control Moog One from my Expressive E, Osmose. Be it a software update or a new hardware version, quoting Nick Bates, "Moog One screams for poly aftertouch". Just receiving poly aftertouch...

Re: 1.6 update ?
... I still expect, the once promised, Poly AT (hello Quantum Poly AT update, hello Iridium Poly AT update...) The Quantum Poly AT was a new hardware revision. Not a firmware update. The Iridium keyboard was sold with a Poly AT keybed from the release on. Adding a Poly AT keybed on the One wouldn't...

Re: hold a note, play next note
Check the trigger mode. There is a button labeled MULTI TRIG below the Attack pot of the envelopes. If it is lit, you get the desired multiple triggering while holding notes. When the envelope is triggered when playing a new note while still holding another, is called multi trigger. The classic Mini...

Re: RA Minimoog
I'm an owner of a late Minimoog with the third VCO board. And I can easily hear the difference in the brightness of the sawtooth when my minimoog is next to a friends Minimoog with the second VCO board. The second does sound brigther will filter fully opened. And the bass sound more bass emphased. T...

Re: How do you know if your Voyager has the slew rate mod?
You can hear the difference in an A/B test easily. But describing it in words to test is hard to or impossible to do. the modified Voyager just sounds more Minimoog alike. I got the slew rate mod here. But I can't tell you what OP-amps and capacitors where changed.

This should work.Quatschmacher wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2023 7:38 am Thanks for that info.
Is it possible to route the LFO CV out straight into the Mod1 or Mod2 jack to then be able to use that as a mod source directed to one of the wave shapes via pot mapping?

Re: Minitaur does not play C1
Have you tried a different keyboard? Or playing it via a MIDI file, if you don't have a different keyboard available?
If this does not play this note, you might have to use the Note Calibration function. You start this via a MIDI SysEx file.
The latest firmware is 2.2.1

Re: Moog Minitaur: Retaining Sound Settings on Hardware Panel After Power Off
When you turn the knobs on an analog synth with digital patch memory, it actually edits a stored patch. And if you don't save this patch before switching off, the last used preset is recalled from memory when switching the unit on. So the pots don't represent the actual sound settings. And this is w...

Re: Connecting sequencer to Micromoog
The Moog and the Behringer clone 960 sequencers both got only V-trigger outs. You need to convert this V-trigger into S-trigger first. This is an easy DIY project, as this done by a single transistor. Some times, this is actually built inside a ¼" jack.

Re: Voyager wave shape modulation
The pot mapping was added later with a software update. It runs as a pure software. And as there is no way to get the analog output of the LFO into this digital chain (without the help of a VX-351 Voyager CV Expander), it is missed as a source. The analog inputs like the MOD CV ins, the touch pad, t...

VCO 1 waveshape: CC # 9 (MSB) & CC # 41 (LSB) VCO 2 waveshape: CC # 11 (MSB) & CC # 43 (LSB) VCO 3 waveshape: CC # 13 (MSB) & CC # 45 (LSB) If the normale MIDI precision of 7 bits (= 128 values) is good enough, just use the MSB Bytes (CCs # 9, 11, 13). But modulating the individual VCO w...

Re: Voyager I.D Help Needed
There was an issue with the Moog brand not to be used in the UK. So the early Voyagers sold there had no Moog brand on the front and back. But maybe this "by Bob Moog" was a legal work around this problem in the UK. Lter Moog got the name registered for the UK as well.

Re: Voyager I.D Help Needed
My voyager has 896 presets. Look and see how many presets yours has, my operating system is 3.5 . Look and see what version your voyager might have This might help you determine the year . Also aftertouch wasn’t available on some of the earlier voyagers. I think the early voyagers had 128 presets n...

Re: Voyager I.D Help Needed
My voyager also has the ability to scroll thru 100s of presets at a time via the knob that shares the external input . I don’t think that earlier voyagers had that capability. There were upgrades offered. I would think Moog could explain all the differences. Certain operating systems gave different...
