Please don't post beta bug questions on the forum; it needlessly frightens people who are using older, officially-released firmware.
If you're running beta firmware and have questions about bug-like behavior, just ask me directly. Thanks!

Re: ATTN: experienced DAW and MIDI users! Sub37 sequencer
Boy, that was a tough read at this hour! Ha, it was tough to write! I probably could have laid out everything a bit more simply, but it's kind of a hard question. I really appreciate everyone's thoughtful answers... thanks for taking the time, it really helps. For my second scenerio of playing back...

Re: does Sub 37 load Little Phatty presets?
A little bit off-topic, but the PhattyTuner app is able to load scl file and send it to the Sub 37 to adapt its tuning or temperament. No need to try and install Scala (under Os X at least, it's quite complex) for this. true! Although PhattyTuner is limited to 12-note octave scales. This is fine fo...

ATTN: experienced DAW and MIDI users! Sub37 sequencer
Hi all, I need to ask a question of the Moog brain trust (meaning all you smart users out there). :) Using the sequencer or arpeggiator in conjunction with a DAW is a bit complicated. There are a number of use cases... do you want to play on the physical Sub 37 keys to trigger the arp or sequencer, ...

Re: SUB37-Digital Stepping noise when sweeping filter with M
i hadn't noticed that before either... but there may be some filtering on the cutoff pot that is not applied to the mod wheel. The filter cutoff is the widest-range parameter on the entire synth... it covers the entire audible range from 20Hz to 20kHz... so of all parameters it's the one that can hi...

Re: major bug in 1.0.9p4
all of the mentioned things are sorted now, and you can skip steps in the sequencer.
edit: also, if you are a beta tester, don't post on the forum about beta bugs and such.... it only confuses people.
Just email me directly. Thanks!

Re: Sub 37 Oscillators tuning issue
works fine here. can you make a recording of what it sounds like when you start from INIT PRESET, turn up Osc 2 (so both osc1 and osc2 are same level), then turn Osc2 frequency to +3 (adjust by ear for minor third)?

Re: Syncing Sub 37 to Ableton Live 9 tempo??
I have a problem with using the arp / seq if I connect the Roland TR-8 via din midi out to sub 37 midi in. the arp and programmed seq plays perfectly with the TR as the master clock but I got the impression the TR-8 transmitting along its own sequence. So the original arp / seq of the sub 37 plays ...

Re: Adding simple vibrato with MW Sub 37
there was actually a bug in the firmware, v1.0.6 and earlier, where the knobs/wheels might not go absolutely to minimum and maximum.
This is fixed in firmware v1.0.7, which is available for download from the moogmusic website: http://www.moogmusic.com/products/phatt ... nloads-tab

Re: Sub 37 Firmware 1.1 coming - Video demo with Amos
Is there any info on when 1.1 is available for us? (can't wait to play with the new features!! :D ) Amos said in the video he believed at some point in February. As a developer myself, I can say from experience that target dates are often not hit, but I would imagine within the next couple of month...

Re: How to add oscillators instability (drift) to sub family
I simply forgot to mention the Variance parameter in the Sonic State Sub 37 video... to my regret! I didn't realize there was so much interest in this feature, really... but some folks who are testing it seem to like it a lot. Regarding the Sub Phatty, my schedule is difficult the next few months bu...

Re: Sub37: arpegiator triggert externally ... not working ?
This is normal for now; I'll work on it. For the moment, if Local Control is OFF, then the arpeggiator is only controlled by local keys, it does not respond to external MIDI notes. This is because there would be a problem if you are using the local keyboard as your MIDI controller, and the Arpeggiat...

Re: Waves not smooth
it's normal; what you hear is what it normally does. Most waveform selectors are either/or: either a saw or a square, a triangle or a sine (if you are lucky enough to get a sine option). This one is variable, but by its nature it's not completely smooth. In part that's because a square wave has shar...

Re: Phatty Tuner software and Sub 37
Working fine here. Make sure Sub 37 selected for Output as well as Input on the device menu. I set a scale number, changed the scale name, hit Send...saw a red MIDI LED on the Sub 37, and my new scale name was visible and active on the Sub 37 Tuning Scales menu when I checked it. Just saw where you ...

Re: Sub 37 Firmware 1.1 coming - Video demo with Amos
Will there be any future updates for the Sub Phatty as well or is it obsolete? Things like oscillator variance (drift) would be nice to have on it as well. Sub Phatty is *not* obsolete... there will be future updates. It's hard to schedule when this will occur because Moog has such a very small tea...
