Re: Model D Filter EG as oscillator modulation source behavi
I don't believe the original Minimoog model D has the option to route the filter EG to pitch. ... Right. On the original /vintage) Minimoogs, you could only route VCO3 or Noise as modulation source via the modwheel. The only modulations available were the keyboard tracking of the filter via the ⅔ a...

Yes, that is what’s happening.

Model D Filter EG as oscillator modulation source behaviour
I wondered if anyone who owns a Moog D could clarify something. I recently acquired a Behringer D. When routing the filter EG via the mod section to the pitch of the oscillators the tuning goes sharp by about a semitone. I had it set with a short attack and short decay (under 10ms) and the sustain s...

Re: Can I use a CP-251 to Attenuate my Beatstep CV?
I asked a related question in the Minitaur forum: whether ther cv inputs are protected from over voltage.

Idea for mod wheel enhancement on Subsequent 37 et al
Whilst programming sounds where I used the mod wheel on both mod busses to do different things I wondered the following: Would it be possible in a software update to add the ability to limit the active range of the mod wheel on either mod buss? For example, on a standard 7-bit MIDI scale, could one ...

Re: MINIMOOG MODEL D APP - Questions?
This thing is awesome. Had it come out a week earlier I may have not ended up buying a Subsequent! When using the arpeggiator mode there is a noticeable lag between hitting a key and the sound starting such that it’s almost impossible to start it in time with the beep of the looper. Is this somethin...

Wave shaping in Minitaur
Just wondering if pulse width modulation/wave shaping is something that would be physically possible to add as a new feature via a firmware update (like the addition of new modulation shapes). Not knowing the technical ins and outs I’ll leave it to someone more in the know to answer.

Re: Missing items in new Subsequent 37 purchase
Yeah of all the Synths I've picked up in the last couple of years have all been missing the chops that other people seem to get. :D The Subsequent editor is now available, I think if you register the Subsequent you will then be provided a links to DL the editor. The Sub 37 editor does work with the...

Missing items in new Subsequent 37 purchase
I just bought a Subsequent 37 and was disappointed to find that the box did not come with the keyboard chops which I’ve seen other owners flaunting in their YouTube videos! This is an outrage! Any idea when the editor will be available? Or can I use the Sub 37 one? Don’t want to mess things up. The ...

Re: Update to MF-101 lowpass filter
Noam offered to modify the gate threshold to eliminate the problem. However, I decided on a refund after all (which I got today promptly upon the return of the unit) as there were other things which weren’t quite doing it for me. These are not faults of the unit, just that, because I wanted to use t...

Re: Minitaur problem after update
Is this with an expression pedal plugged in? That happened to me and I ended up returning it to the store. Could it be that your midi controller is switched to a higher octave and is outputting midi notes higher than note 73? If so it’ll simply trigger the highest note in the Minitaur no matter what...

Re: Update to MF-101 lowpass filter
Thanks for that information, mate : ) You’re welcome. In answer to your other question, yes, I still get the noise with the input gain on minimum. Part of the problem seems to be that, with bass guitar, I need to have the HPF set to 16Hz, which lets more low end rumble into the signal path. Still, ...

Re: Update to MF-101 lowpass filter
With the envelope decoupled from the VCA I get a hideous amount of noise. Even with IP set to the minimum? I’ll have to try again and see. I’m finding that the sound is much more interesting with the gain up; overdriving the filter a bit gives a pleasing sound. (Their new version has a built-in gat...

Re: Update to MF-101 lowpass filter
I’ve been in touch with Noam at Sonicsmith and he thought the behaviour I was experiencing wasn’t right and so I’ve sent him a couple of videos highlighting the problems. I’m just using it with bass guitar (though I did try my Rhodes through it). I’m finding I need to have the HPF on 16Hz and the LP...

Re: Update to MF-101 lowpass filter
How are you finding the Squaver? I’m having a few issues with it making noises by itself. It’s a shame as it’s pretty cool otherwise.
