Re: Taurus III dust cover
I have double padding. It is about equivalent to say a guitar gig bag. So I've had light objects (and liquid) drop on it fine, but you probably don't want to drop anything heavy (like a guitar) as it would still make a dent - especially if it hit the knob or screen area. If you doing custom then you...

Re: Taurus III dust cover
Funny, after reading Studio Slips bio, I see how small this country/world is and it's ironic that Mr. A had to point me to them because fact is, 2 years ago I visited the Petaluma factor of Mesa Engineering and and a plant walk through (they make two of the Bass amps I play through) come to just re...

Re: Taurus III dust cover
1. Not been moved too much, but seems OK. I would use a folding luggage carrier to wheel it around - it's far too heavy to carry - although the handles are good and even the strap seemed pretty sturdy - although carrying it on you should is back breaking and you're always thinking "when is that...

Good catch. Still a bit rich for my tastes though, but I think EMWhite will be all over this.

Re: Taurus III dust cover
Don't think it's a tough cowd so much as probably not many people bought them. I fancied one but $89 for the cover plus $60 delivery was a bit excessive (I'd have had to add another £30 or so import duty too). So over £120 for a dust cover. I ended up getting a padded soft clam case from Studio Slip...

Re: theremini
I loved Animoog, so I would be interested to hear this. I like the 1950s sci-fi look. Of course the analogue purists are going to bleat as usual. If we listened to the likes of them we'd still be making cloth by hand.

Re: Taurus 3 firmware update - v2.0.3
I can't even remember the first firmware version. I know my main issues were with MIDI. I think they were mostly addressed in this update. Anyway if you're not using MIDI or Arps then I would definitely do the update as it adds some nice features, like storing patch wheel volume, the presets 1-4 can...

Same as you, 2.0.3.
Oddly enough I can only see 2.0.25 on the website available for download.

Re: deleting presets
No idea what synth you're talking about, but you don't delete patches on synths, you just replace them with another patch. Depending on your synth you may be able to do a factory restore (which will blow away ALL your patches in all banks, not just G) or upload them from a SysEx file.

Re: T3 Value Switch Naming Issue
Without wishing to derail Amos from doing an update to the Taurus 3 - I'd still like one please - I have tried renaming as above and can toggle through all the letters no problem.

Haha, all the T3 owners have jumped in quick on this.
Count me as another who would like this adapted to the T3.

Re: Moogerfooger repair in London?
I, and many others it seems if you do a Google, have had bad experience with them. I had an OSCar repaired back in the day by The Synthesiser Service Centre. It cost £120 to repair, which I know doesn't sound a lot but consider that I paid £190 for the synth and you can adjust the numbers to today's...

Do NOT use Cimple Solutions or The Synthesiser Service Centre (oddly enough at almost the same address).
