Re: What makes a good YouTube video?

Hi Voltor, glad you asked. I was looking at your latest vid yesterday and realized i missed direct audio the most. Your otherwise nice demo was let down by background noise and the sound of you banging the keys, in my opinion. Additionally what for me elevates videos over plain audio demos is the f...

Re: What makes a good YouTube video?

get creative with some house lamps.. In your last video you have the window open so that lets in light, but its overall light, and it saturates the image. The sub37 is dark so it makes the camera confused as far as clarity of it, and what it should be seeing and or focusing on. A lamp behind the su...

Re: What makes a good YouTube video?

synthesis4all, I have seen that video. :D Sadly, I lack a lot of lighting. I'm just glad I have an HD camera with decent microphone.

Re: Voltor's video's

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tL2PUx8kQr8 Hopefully it will be up soon. Recorded in 720p high definition, better sound quality than the last one, and a special note to trolls in the description. It's also longer, at nearly 15 minutes, and has a bunch of variety sound wise and performance wi...

What makes a good YouTube video?

I ask, because all people can tell me is that my videos are boring and unintuitive. How can I do better?

Re: Gap on the left side of the control panel

Really Voltor07? In my case, though I haven't yet received my Sub 37 so I can't attest to the actual quality yet, seeing the pictures of that gap from other users has had me a bit worried. Is it because I'm a NOOB? I doubt it, considering that I've been playing and owning synths since the mid-1970s...

Re: Gap on the left side of the control panel

[/snip} I understand tolerances, I have read stories of other companies with misaligned keys, but hey, maybe someone in the synth design world should have solved the issue by now. Why are some keybeds straight and others wonky? :!: Why are some keybeds straight and others wonky? I have no idea. Nor...

Re: Gap on the left side of the control panel

Wow, seriously, guys? The Sub 37 is a much better design than my old Little Phatty was...every other key was a couple mm off when I got it. The side panels were plastic until I replaced them with wood, and the plastic was really cheap. The wheels were never all that tight, either. The Sub 37 is the ...

Re: Anyone else ever come to the slow realization...

Honestly, delay isn't my thing. I have an EHX #1 echo that I occasionally use on the Taurus 3. It's the only echo I feel a need for. It does what it's meant to do, even has a bit of analog warmth...not bad for a $100 digital delay. Simply can't live without my MF-102 and 103, though. Been contemplat...

Re: CP-251 schematics...?

Hi, yeah sure. I built this circuit: http://www.synthfool.com/ebay/revattnnabag2.jpg But I needed a 'finer' control, not as extreme end-to-end, so what I did was change the pot's value to a lower one - say 1K (instead of 10K) and I also placed a couple of 5K trimmers either end of the track... so f...

I wonder if they were holding back some shipments until they could get that firmware loaded...?
That's plausible.

Re: Sub 37 updated release date ?

Im terrified of getting a modular thing going on.. got a bit of an addictive personality, i'd get myself into trouble. "Here, try this LFO module, the first one's free" 8) 6 months later.. i'm found dead under a pile of patch cables.. I think i'll stick with performance synths  I mad...

Re: Sub 37 updated release date ?

Same here: I have a Little Pahtty and playing my friend's SubPahtty, I often get confuse between the thow envelopes. But hey, that means we are familiar enough with the insutrments to tweak without really reading labels :) (well, envelopes are easy...) Get a modular, then tell me you have a hard ti...
