Re: Sub 37 and Reaper

I've been using my Sub 37 with Reaper for quite some time and have not experienced timing problems. I do often have an issue where Reaper will start up and do something to the Sub 37's MIDI. Odd things might (or might not) happen to the Sub including volume issues, locking up, detuning, MIDI errors....

Re: Using external CV to clock the Sub 37 arpeggiator

There doesn't seem to be a way to map the CV to the Tap feature. I can map the Gate CV In to the Arp Sync feature but that just turns sync on and off at the speed of the control voltage. I've played around and still can't figure out a way to map the control voltage to the Sub 37's clock if the capab...

Re: Sub 37 external midi to usb

Check page 35 of the User's Manual

In MIDI menu 2.x you can set the functions of the DIN MIDI In and Out and the USB In and Out ports. If you set all of them to "Both" you'll activate all the MIDI ports and have them Echo their signals to one another.

This should accomplish your goal.

Re: Using external CV to clock the Sub 37 arpeggiator

Follow up question....

Is it possible to control the arpeggiator's Start and Stop functions through an external control voltage?

Using external CV to clock the Sub 37 arpeggiator

I'd like to control the speed of the Sub 37's arpeggiator speed from an external CV source. I have a modular synthesizer with some sequencers and I'd like to have the rate of the Sub 37 arpeggiator set by either; a> the clock out of one of the sequencers or b> an LFO which happens to be clocking my ...

Re: Limited edition Subsequent 37 CV announced

Yeah, I love my Sub 37 and the only thing it was really missing was the CV out. Moog pleeeeeeeeeease come out with an upgrade kit for your loyal the Sub 37 users!!! CV Outputs are what I'd really be interested in upgrading too. My Sub wants to be better friends with my modular. Oh, and Moog, if you...

Re: Limited edition Subsequent 37 CV announced

Any chance there will be an update kit for all the loyal, long-time Sub 37 users?

Re: Share your synthesizer music!

I threw this little piece together over the past week for my solo project Just The 5.

It utilizes my 2 modulars SWAN & Phoenix plus a Moog Sub 37 and Yamaha Motif XF6. I wouldn't advise trying to dance to it

Re: Share your synthesizer music!

I was working on a patch over the past few days. During that time I finished building my MFOS 16 Step Sequencer. I tested it out by adding it to the patch and had it clocked by the LFO driving my Dotcom Q960. Just for kicks I added a bass accent with my Moog Sub 37 and some strings on an EMU ESI-200...

Re: Post your latest purchase!!

Just tried to do a Get in the stand alone version. After confirming it was connected to my USB it failed to get the presets and told me I was not connected. Sometimes the VST works and Gets the presets. It's too iffy for me though and as a software developer for 30 years I know that something glitch...

Re: Post your latest purchase!!

OB-6 Desktop. Enough said. K.... WOW!!!! I didn't mean to sound negative towards either company...Just short on time. I will say this. In my experience, Moog is blowing the competition out of the water on the software side of things. The Sub37 Editor is miles ahead of the OB-6 editor. I didn't real...

Re: Post your latest purchase!!

The Omnichord is such a cool instrument!

My bandmate has one that we use in a few of our tunes. You can check one out here.

It sounds especially cool when run through some effect pedals.

Enjoy your new toy!!

Re: Share your synthesizer music!

Here's a relaxing little diddy I composed on my modular with some Motif XF and a lead line done on my Sub 37. The Sub 37 patch is a version of the Xylophone patch from the Minimoog Patch Book.

I hope you enjoy it...
