Re: Problem with 2022 minimoogs aftertouch
When you say inti a sound do you mean start start with a patch that you have to create from the vey beginning or do you mean I could select a patch like B124 for instance which already exists as a factory patch called Emerson saw . I did as you instructed and made sure the selector potentiometers w...

Re: Problem with 2022 minimoogs aftertouch
There are no aftertouch curves on the Voyager. Simple sound to test aftertouch: * init a sound * left Modulation Bus: ** Source: triangle wave ** Destination: Pitch ** Shaping: Pressure (=aftertouch) ** Amount: start with max * Play a not and add pressure to get a aftertouch controlled vibrato Pleas...

Re: Problem with 2022 minimoogs aftertouch
Sometimes I wonder if the culprit may be the fatar synth action I’ve read the prophet5rev4 had problems with its aftertouch and velocity sensitivity when it was released and wasn’t addressed until later. I’ve also read the OBX8 aftertouch and velocity sensitivity is wonky as well. It is not the Fat...

Re: Problem with 2022 minimoogs aftertouch
I am afraid, only a hardware fix will help. Like on the older Voyagers.

Re: Subsequent 37 Cabling
... Is it correct that the line-level external audio input is unbalanced, mono, and can use either a TS or TRS cable?... At the end of the manual: AUDIO OUTPUT: 1xTS, 1xTRS Headphone So the output is TS. A TRS cable will work. If your mixer or audio interface uses TS it will do no harm but no posit...

Re: Subsequent 37 Cabling
... The User's Manual says that the Volume CV and the Filter CV are both TRS. Is this also true of the Pitch CV and the KB Gate? Are the Voltage CV, Filter CV, Pit CV and KB Gate all balanced or unbalanced? ... There is no such thing as balanced CV on synths. Balanced connections are sometimes used...

About the Minimoog VCOs: There is a scans of a schematic using a SG3821 chip for the exponential transistor dates 10th April 1972. Drawing number 08-001. Hand drawn. And of cause, there is the well known CA3046 based design shown in the service manual. This is also hand drawn. According to a service...

Re: Voyager start-up screen
The screen showing Bob Moog is an alternative one included from a certain point in the Voyager Firmware versions. It was included a few months after Bob's death. So this Bob Moog screen is no modification. But it is a hidden thing no manual version I am aware of included. See the other thread about ...

Re: the Voyager "Bob Moog" splash screen image
I got one showing something like "minimoog Voyager" and not a person's face. This is the standard one. And the other one (an alternative one) is showing Bob Moog. All software of the Voyager was coded by Rudi Linhard. So he included these graphics to the code. The Bob Moog picture was my c...

There is VCO 3 at 2 or 4" on VCF filter modulation involved. An the VCO 3 is not using keyboard control. No FM on the VCOs.

Re: Problem with 2022 minimoogs aftertouch
It is not a problem of the aftertouch amount only. The needed analog conversation of the logarithmic aftertouch values given by the Fatar keybed need to converted into a linear slope. And this is not that easy. See the three different boards of the Voyagers to get it right. And the best one was not ...

Re: 2015 voyager vs Minimoog 2022
What is the MUSE board? ... The MUSE is an Austrian made board you install in the Minimoog Reissue (2016-17 versions only) to get certain MIDI functionality not available on these Reissues (but available on the new 2022 ones). It also allows to use aftertouch to control the modulation depth . This ...

Re: 2015 voyager vs Minimoog 2022
My Voyager is rock solid in pitch from day one on (2004). It just needs the typical good old analog 20 mins of heating up to be ready. I used to love my 1979 Minimoog (with self made, clear covered beech wood housing) as a wonderful Minimoog. But I always wondered, why some Minimoog on records sound...
