I have the 3 instruments you are considering. You know about the Voyager so I won't discuss it. The LP is great. I bought mine to have the Moog sound in a portable package. It more than fit the bill and I'm very happy with the tweak-ability - especially when you add an EP-2 to control the filter. Yo...

Lots of FreqBox examples: http://earsmack.com/stuff/freqbox/ I have both. I like both. The key with the FreqBox is to use it in a subtle way. Don't get stuck in the "it only does those pitch sweeps" mentality because if you dig a little deeper it can do alot more than that. Just like the R...

OK - so it just means "it's receiving" as opposed to "buffer overflow" - thanks.

I like that idea my Rogue is that way and it works fine.
Cool - I didn't know the Rogue worked this way - lends credence to my idea then I suppose :-)

Hello All, I've been messing with my LP with the Elektron Monomachine and had MIDI i/o connecting both to each other. Pretty quickly the LP would display a small right-pointing solid triangle to the left of the display and basically lock up - playing the keys would produce no sound. I figured this w...

Both Elektron boxes (MD and MM) are wonderful with Moog gear in sound and function. I've done more MIDI sequencing with the MM than the MD but both are capable - just in slightly different ways. I know nothing about the Orb.

PS: not to mention I think all the major points are covered here.

The Filter CV would send the filter envelope, you have KB Gate, Pitch and Volume which could send the Amplitude Envelope!

Late to the party but... I kinda don't like the jacks in front of the pitch wheels due to some of the points brought up previously. and it makes it hard to have the LP on a table (or stand) with something in front of it. I would prefer them on the side with the others. Having said that, I know for p...

One more :-)

Mackie 1604 VLZ (the original VLZ!) for the studio. Mackie 802 VLZ3 for live. Both excellent mixers with some great features.

I replaced an MEK with my LP. It was a very hard decision since both instruments have alot going for them. They can make alot of the same sounds (as can be seen in the side-by-side video) but then both stretch out very far in opposite directions. I ultimately found the LP to sound warmer and I liked...
