Re: Politics at Moogfest

Browsing facebook earlier today and noticed the "rally to restore sanity" link on the moogfest 2010 page. This makes me both angry and sad. I just can't believe moog would stoop to pushing their political agenda at an event such as this. It doesn't matter what side of the fence you're on,...

Kevin, the Moog pickups aren't merely an e-bow or fernades sustainer effect... I thought you might already know that, but if not, wished to throw that in.

Nah, they were charging 1699 originally for the Taurus III. 1000 sounds more like it. Maybe 1100. Yeah, that's better. :D

Re: Portishead sell Voyager, buy Little Phatty SII!

You know, I use my Phatty way more than my Voyager. I love the tone so much, it has a lot of seeming character and personality that lives up to the name perfectly. It bites sharply and can lay on a surprising bottom end. Kinda biting and barking little thing. Voyager is deep and rich and dependable ...

Re: Moog iPhone app

The problem is that if the company which manufactures your precision musical equipment starts catering to the specifically-consumer market, they discover that that is where the money is, I don't think Moog Music was ever unaware of this. I think your response is disingenuous. You know exactly what ...

Re: MP201 V3

These are all really good suggestions! I am glad to see them as it means there are some serious MP201 users out there :) I think I will have time after Moogfest to do a small MP201 update, at least to add the triplets back in. I'm so sorry I haven't done this sooner. As for the other features / MP2...

Yes to both! I would love to see a "SlimTaurus" and a Taurus-based 'Fooger filter. I love my T-3s, but my one real gripe is the sheer size and weight of the beastie. I already own a set of PK-5s, and there are times when I bring them (along with my Roland JP-8000) to gigs instead of the T...

Ach! You're crazy, they'll never do it. Never. No matter how much we beg. There's a Taurus 3 with my name on it nearby - no one in this town buys new Moog gear very often - it's a very digital town, everywhere you look. Even the biggest electronic musicians in the city use Korg, Nord, Roland and all...

Re: Does anyone use moogerfoogers with their theremin?

Thomas Zunk, whom I performed with at Avantgarde Festival Schiphorst 2010 in Germany over the Fourth of July weekend, uses an Etherwave Theremin with several Moogerfoogers, including the Ring Mod (I don't know all the details of his setup, I'm afraid.) I've just posted recordings of two of our impr...
