Re: Who says synths can't be heavy ?
I played with a rock band in the eighties. Used my Memorymoog and an Ensoniq Mirage. I ran them through a Crown DC300 and a Peavey International 115 with an 18" Black Widow. It was heavy in both sound and weight. Everyone loved that Memorymoog sound.

Re: CV tempo sync for MF delays
I have a Roland SBX-10 that will read clicks and generate a MIDI clock. They are no longer made, but you might be able to find a used one.

Re: 1974 Moog Synthesizer Accessory Operation Manual
I have an 1120 with the external DC power input too. I also have a copy of the service manual that shows the DC power input, as on my pedal. The manual I have is from 1979.

Do this:
1. Press bank 4 and Activate Panel button to enter Shift Mode
2. Select bank 2 and 4 buttons and program 1 and 3 buttons (all four lights must be on)
3. Press low C on the keyboard
4. Press Activate Panel button to exit Shift Mode
Aftertouch response should now be off.

Re: Sub Phatty - Processing sounds through input
I would try: 1. Plugging a blank plug into the KB Gate input. 2. Turning the VCA envelope sustain level to maximum. 3. Setting the filter cutoff to maximum. 4. Setting oscillators and noise level to minimum. 5. Adjusting audio input level. This should provide the cleanest signal path through the ins...

Re: Memorymoog or Prophet 12
The day I bought my Memorymoog, I had gone to the store to buy a Prophet 5 (1983). The Moog was sitting next to the Prophet, so I did a side-by-side comparison. Needless to say, the Prophet stayed in the store. And they were about the same price. I don't think the Prophet 12 sounds as nice as the Me...

Re: Filter out program change messages
MIDI event processors are available at midisolutions.com, but they retail for $149. If you can find a used Anatek Pocket Filter, that would do the job. I have seen Anatek stuff on Ebay for about $40.

Re: Sub Phatty Classic Presets
The Sub Phatty can get that sound. I play that song with my band.
The sweep sound may be the glide parameter. During the course of the solo, I vary the glide amount.

Re: Sub Phatty Editor Functionality Question
The probable answer to your question about USB configuration and communication between the Sub Phatty and the Editor can be found on page 4 of the Editor User's Manual. You should set up Preferences before doing anything else with the Editor.

Re: Mini The Moog (newbie advice) ??
I live near Chicago in the US. I purchased the unit here and it has always been serviced locally.
It was originally the Memorymoog model, but I had it upgraded to the Memorymoog Plus shortly after I purchased it. It is not a LAMM unit.
It did spend a few years gigging, and held up very well.

Re: Mini The Moog (newbie advice) ??
I've had my Memorymoog since new, S/N 22xx. It has always been reliable, and since the last service nine months ago has always shown "6 tuned" after warming up. Warm up being at least two hours. I use it all the time and love the sound. But the last service took three months and cost $750 ...

Yes, there are. The Memorymoog will do that. The ARP 2600 also has an AR envelope that begins the release when the key is let up.

Re: Post your latest purchase!!
I recently picked up a Sub Phatty and MF-104M. What a combination!
Since then, I've been using analog only gear, like The Rogue, Memorymoog and Theremin. Back to the early days with knobs!

Re: enveloped in envelopes
There are at least a few synths that provide unconditional contour. Besides the Memorymoog, analog modeling synths do it. The Waldorf Blofeld has a "one shot" mode, and the Alesis Micron/Akai Miniak have a "freerun" mode. I use this type of sound frequently to provide background ...

Re: Velocity To Filter Parameter Missing!!!
I don't know which synth you have, but the Sub Phatty can apply velocity to the filter envelope amount. It is covered on page 23 of the user manual. You have to enter shift mode, then use the filter envelope sustain knob to set the desired amount.
