Re: Moog One FEATURE Requests

You can bend and modify (S curve) the various envelope curves by applying the output of the envelope generator (both positive and negative) to the various envelope generator segment controls (attack, decay, etc.).

Re: FM waveform

There are two different noise sources that you can use to modulate the filters (and oscillators and other destinations). In the mod matrix, Random and Random Bipolar are both noise sources. You can use Transforms like Slew or High or Low EQ to color the noise (or turn it into a random CV) as desired...

Re: SUB OUTS: so much quieter... and noisier

Wait a minute, do you actually use your ONE cranked up to those levels? My master volume is typically set to around noon, depending on the situation, and at that level, and with the Sub Out set to 0 dB, I can switch back and forth between them, and get about the same level and noise floor from each,...

Re: SUB OUTS: so much quieter... and noisier

There's no hand wiring to any of the connectors inside the Moog One. Like just about everything made these days, all connectors are on a PC board, and the boards are interconnected via flat flexi cables, to make assembly faster and easier, and to eliminate any possible wiring mistakes (like this). I...

Re: SUB OUTS: so much quieter... and noisier

If the Sub Outs are reversed in phase, that won't have *any* effect on the volume or sound quality at all. The only time it will have an effect is if you send the same preset out of the Mains and the Subs, and mix the two together at about the same volume levels on your mixer. Then, the opposite pha...

Re: SUB OUTS: so much quieter... and noisier

My unit doen't behave like that. Hmmm.... I have the Master volume set at 50%, and with the sub outs set to OdB on the master volume panel, they are at the same volume output as the Main outs, and the same (low) noise floor. If your unit behaves differently, this might be a system calibration issue....

Re: Moog One FEATURE Requests

Please allow VCA Volume to be modulated with positive voltage. A bipolar LFO modulating the VCA is always capped above 0V, even when the VCO knob is at its min value. Some users say the restriction is there for safety reasons, but it feels unintuitive. Assign CONSTANT to VCA Level, and set the amou...

Re: Transpose not independant for parts

You can use either of the expression pedals or the CV inputs to perform real-time transpose on any or all layers of a sound. A single pedal or CV input can also create different amounts and directions of a transpose simultaneously, i.e. one layer is trasposed up by some amount while another is trans...

Re: FX 1 distorting

Perhaps you could Dropbox one of the presets that are distorting when the synth FX is enabled? Someone here might be able to dissect it and find out why.

Re: Real Time Control with Envelope

The Moog Theremini is not only a very fine Theremin, it also excels at being able to transmit both user-scalable CVs AND Midi CCs (simultaneously, if desired) from the antennas. It is also highly configurable on-the-fly via Midi, making it a great controller for experimental and highly customized se...

Re: v.1.31 freeze

Sorry, man. I was hoping that a different software rev would be more successful.
There must be a deeper problem somewhere. :(

Good to know that way to select another rev of software is still in there...it got me up and running at one point quite a while ago.

Re: v.1.31 freeze

Hi all, I did the 1.30 -1.31 update yesterday. After the installation and the reboot, my 8 voice One hangs when updating the voice cards firmware and never boots. Does anyone have a recommendation? Try holding down the encoder, then turning on the power and continuing to hold down the encoder durin...

Re: Firmware 1.3 released

Yeah, I totally understand your frustration. Sometimes though, these things don't get corrected once the firmware is released for a while because there is already a growing group of presets that may be adversely affected by changing these parameters. I've seen it happen before on other products. Hav...

Re: Firmware 1.3 released

There is still a nasty bug with WAVE ANGLE when it is being modulated. Modulating WAVE ANGLE (TRI or SAW) with a positive value results in a negative output and vice versa. It's driving me crazy. Test this. INIT PATCH 1) Turn WAVE ANGLE all the way to the left (-100%) when in TRI mode 2) Now set MO...
