Re: Specification of sysex format

There are several pages of MIDI CC commands published for the Little and Slim Phatty - Just about anything that can be done via the menu system can be done with MIDI CC's, so the lack of SYSEX documentation shouldn't prevent you from developing a decent editor. (I have an editor I developed for thes...

+1 -
the MF-104M is VERY cool!!

Behind that, a MF-103 Phaser would be cool to add to the mix...
And a MF-105M MIDI MuRF (another "get 'em while you can" MoogerFooger...)

Re: Using Doepfer DrkTime sequencer w/ 2 synths simultaneous

I added alternate coloured switch covers to my DT, which makes it easier to distinguish the skip-off-on and stop-jump-continue switches. With two rows of 1 fairly closely spaced switches, I find it really helps while performing. That's a really good idea Etamin ~ Where did you find your switch cove...

Re: Minitaur is missing notes

We'll probably need a bit more information concerning your gear setup before anyone can really assist ~ How is the Minitaur connected to your computer or other device (hub, direct USB, etc.), what controller are you using, what software are you using, etc.? Problems like you mention frequently have ...

Re: Using Doepfer DrkTime sequencer w/ 2 synths simultaneous

Definitely - Each 8-step register can run independently in 2x8 mode, with each register capable of transmitting on its own MIDI channel AND through it's own CV/gate ports. The clock, transport, direction controls, etc applies to both registers simultaneously, but you still individual register contro...

Re: Voyager XL / Dark Time Sequencing...

I don't have a Voyager (maybe someday!), but you might try this - There should be a way to turn "Local Control" OFF on your Voyager. That should keep the keyboard from actually triggering the Voyager synth engine, but you could still use the Voyager MIDI OUT, connected to the Dark Time MID...

If I were a betting man, I'd wager that the M-32 will show up first...

Have fun, regardless of the decision!! :D

Re: Which Moogerfooger to get?

If you could find one, a MF-104M Analog Delay. Second to that, MF-105M MIDI MuRF - But you'll need to plan on spending quality time with it to get predictable "musical" results out of it! Of course, since you have a CP-251, having the sweep cycle of a MF-103 Phaser synced to the same LFO d...

Re: Noob Question: CP-251 vs. Mother-32

Apples & Oranges - The Mother-32 is a full-fledged synthesizer voice plus what appears to be a very full-featured step sequencer. The CP-251 is a signal processor & LFO source. Both would be compatible and very useful with a growing collection of CV-equipped Moog (or other brand) equipment ~...

Re: Moog Mother-32

OK, so I'll eat a little bit of crow here - I finally had the chance to watch & listen to the demo with decent speakers. Dang, this thing sounds awesome! 8) Granted, it sounds processed through some mysterious unnamed effects pedal...... but still, awesome, and with some very cool feature...

Re: Moog Mother-32

It's officially on the main web page now. Looks cool ~ but SO Eurorack! :? Not bad for the price; but - Call me Old School - I'll take bigger knobs and 1/4" jacks any day over little knobs and 1/8" jacks. (Tried both; bigger is better for my aging eyes and hands!!) This is probably a reall...

Re: CP 251 and Little Phatty Problem

If you leave cables plugged into the LP's CV Volume / Gate jacks without anything connected on to the other end, you could end up with the results you mentioned. (CV cables left unconnected at one end, and/or dummy plugs are quick ways to get the Little & Slim Phattys to "drone"). If y...

Yeah, much of the classic analog / MIDI gear comes with a steep price tag ~
but it sure is cool!! 8)
