what a coincidence. the group that played the sample in my first post in the thread, crystal method, use a moogerfoogerlow pass filter and a RAT, so it's no wonder you got as close as you did. in regards to an EQ, would you just cut the mids or increase them? LOL! That's really interesting that the...

i was very impressed with that. very close to the sound but what you played was just as good. what fuzz did you use and what was your setup involved in creating that sound? i'm hoping to do something similar to that with my setup, though unfortunately i have no fuzz. i have an EQ that i use for my ...

So the sound isn't exact, but I think I could get closer with some more tweaking. The sound still needs to be a bit "honkier" and could use less high end fizz. Here is my quick example of messing around with the basic idea: http://www.bryantysinger.com/Demos/crystalmoog.mp3 This isn't a st...

I was playing around with my equipment tonight and I think I can get pretty close with a guitar, a distortion or fuzz pedal (Z Vex Fuzz Factory or Pro Co Rat II), and the Low Pass Filter. I use a foot controller to control the frequency and set the resonance on the filter pretty high. I can't get th...

I think you can get pretty close with a fuzz pedal and the Low Pass Filter. You'll probably want a foot controller to control the frequency of the filter.

The attenuators on the CP-251 will give the same response, as they are the same type of pot and you would have simply put them in series. It would be cool if one acted as coarse and one as fine, but I think you'd need either different values for the two pots or a more complicated routing of the sign...

thanks. just one more question: from looking at the unit, it doesn't look like it does bypass. does it transform my guitar into a synth unit only or can i bypass it and make it play non-synth guitar as if the unit was not activated? Depending on how you set things up, you can have guitar, guitar sy...

the roland inerests me, but i'm a little weary of drilling holes into my guitar just to install the special pickup. is there something similar that can deliver the same results without getting the guitar drilled with holes? You can attach the Roland pickup with screws or double-sided tape. Roland s...

sorry for the questions. I hope you didn't take my comment the wrong way. I wasn't suggesting that you stop asking questions, but I truly do think you'll get a lot more out of trying the pedals out than in asking questions. I think that five minutes with the low pass filter would give you a feel fo...

Deke, Why not go to a Moog dealer and try out the various effects? You'll learn a lot more in a half hour of playing with the effects than you would in reading about them. A ring mod on its own isn't going to get the sound in the video, as it does either tremolo or ring mod type effects. A low pass ...

probably a dumb question... but where are the insert in/outs on the back? i looked at a diagram of the digi002r and didnt seem them labeled. You just use an output and an input with the same number. The software/hardware routes everything correctly when you add a hardware insert to a track. If you ...

can you explain what you mean with 'using it as an insert'? Do you mean that u simply use the mooger as some outboard gear? using an output from the 002r into the mofo and back into the 002r? That is exactly what I mean. Within a track in Pro Tools you have the option for up to 10 inserts. These ca...

I spent some time experimenting this afternoon and was able to get everything to work properly. I simply needed to reduce the volume of the virtual synths within Reason and everything worked fine. It seems that despite the lack of clipping within Reason and Pro Tools, the line level signal was just ...

I'm using insert channel 5. Even with the gain on the Foogers at the lowest setting the signal LED is yellow most of the time and red pretty frequently, sometimes it will be red all the time. After reading through the manual for the Digi002 and the Foogers, I don't see why it is overloading like thi...

Hmm . . . I guess none of you have tried this? My current work around is to set up a send to the Fooger than knocks 10 dB off of the signal. Then I have the return from the Fooger go to a new track and add the 10 dB back. This seems kind of hokey and is probably adding some noise to the audio. It wo...
