Recommendations for flying w a DFAM
I am about to go on an international flight out of the US and I plan to bring my DFAM. Any recommendations? I was thinking about packing it in my carry-on and making sure I had headphones and the power cable with me in case they ask what it is. Conversely I could also check it but I'm just concerned...

Re: Blank Patch Cards Please!
Yeah, I take photos as well and its a great way to quickly capture the current state of the synth but its annoying to try to recall the patch based on photos.

Blank Patch Cards Please!
I recently got a DFAM and was thinking it would be great if Moog sold a 50 pack of a blank version of cardboard patch cards that come with it. It would basically be the same thing but without the orange dots and lines. That would be a much easier way to recall patches than having to look back and fo...

Re: Matriarch + Sub 37
No, what I'm saying is that I can't even get it to track properly monophonically. If I put the Matriarch in monophonic mode and play only one note at a time on the Matriarch while the KB CV out is running into the Sub 37 Pitch CV in, it creates notes on the Sub 37 but nothing in tune. If I instead r...

Re: Matriarch + Sub 37
I'm not sure the specific voltage but the Matriarch out is a 10v range and Sub 37 is a 5v range in. I tried sending it through the Matriarch antenuator first but even I was able to use that to tune one note correctly, the other notes above and below don't stay in tune. I guess a CV converter module ...

Sequencing DFAM w Matriarch!?
I just got a DFAM and its a lot of fun. Then I realized I could easily sequence the DFAM with the 256 step sequencer of the Matriarch! That is amazingly powerful! My only wish, aside from an editor to write and back up Matriarch sequences, is that there was a much easier way to toggle off Seq Local ...

Matriarch + Sub 37
How do I get my Matriarch to send compatible CV to my Sub 37? I wanted the Sub 37 to track the bottom of the chords I was playing on the Matriarch put running the KB CV OUT of the Matriarch to the Pitch CV of the Sub 37 but it didn't work. Looking at the manuals the Matriarch out is -5V to +5V (or 0...

Oh those definitely have nice sounds as well. I'll have to look into them more. Thanks!

Re: Ready to buy: waiting for new firmware?
Ok, good to know. The Korg Prologue, or even the Minilogue XD module, was something I was considering. Unfortunately at lot of these are hard to find in stores and so you can just sit down and play them.

Re: Ready to buy: waiting for new firmware?
@RedtideMusic, @noisebit, and others that have direct experience with lots of polysynths, is there a $1500 - $3000 alternative to the One that probably doesn't have all the versatility and features but still has that Moog warmth, liveliness, and grit? (Even only 4 voices would be enough.) I have a M...

Re: Suggestion: 3 voice polyphonic analog Moog
I had a Minitaur for a while and tried poly-chaining it with my Sub 37 and it worked for chords but not really polyphonic playing. I eventually sold the Minitaur. I now also have a Matriarch and I'll play that as a 4-voice paraphony and it has a great sound, but if I want a right hand melodic line o...

Re: Suggestion: 3 voice polyphonic analog Moog
I agree with both you. I think paraphony has a different more gritty sound that polyphony generally does. I like it a lot and some times play my Sub 37 with one hand and my Matriarch with my other to get more notes of it. Its definitely a fun sounds. That said, I'd also just love a less expensive 4 ...

Thom Yorke with a Matriarch
I was watching video of The Smile (Thom Yorke, Johnny Greenwood, and Tom Skinner) at Glastonbury last year and realized that Thom Yorke was playing a Moog Matriarch. You can tell by the color scheme. Check it out: https://twitter.com/thesmiletheband/sta ... 1399206915
