Re: Pink Floyd Cover (Keyboards)

What keyboard gear do you have now? Rick Wright had a small arsenal of keyboards, so depending on what you've got already, who knows what you may be lacking. I assume a synthesizer, since you're at the Moog site. A Little Phatty is a wonderful thing, and easy enough for a beginner to learn from, but...

Re: prototype

Though I do have more than a casual interest in the new Moog synth, reality is, I'd be much more likely to send my LP in for the CV out mod, than to buy a new synth at this point. Having the CV outs would open a whole new world for my 2 current foogers, which presently sit off to the side unused.

Re: Packing the phatty for shipment?

Bubble wrap the Phatty, and box it tightly. Then, put that box into another, larger box, with more bubble wrap. Make sure nothing rattles. Good luck.

Re: New ExperimentalSynth.com website

Awesome site, but when I pull the menu's down, they're hidden behind the YouTube screen. Enjoyed the vids, very nice set up and playing, but would love to dig in deeper if I could see the menu's. Thanks.

Re: prototype

I certainly wouldn't be selling my Phatty, but though I didn't bite on the Minitaur, I sure will buy this new one, 25 keys and all.

Re: new Moog --death to the LP

I wouldn't get rid of my Little Phatty, no matter what this new synth turns out to be. Might add the new one to what I already have, but the Phatty, being Bob's last design, is something pretty special. Besides, I sold my Stage I and regretted it immediately, which is the only reason I now have a St...

Re: Trying to decide between LP and Novation Ultranova

If this is your FIRST synthesizer, definitely get the Little Phatty. You will learn the ins and outs of subtractive analog synthesis, which you can later apply to any number of "virtual analog" synths like the UltraNova, though there are far better choices for a digital synth than that par...

Re: Guitarist needs to shape his soundwaves (MF107 and/or LF

Stiiiive has nailed it on the head. So many times, I read a young player is looking to reproduce the "sounds" of a synthesizer, using a bass or guitar as the primary instrument. It just doesn't work out that way, unless you can be satisfied with a synth "effects" pedal, or combin...

Re: 80s Bass sound

If you understand the basics of subtractive synthesis, using an analog synth you have alot of options. But, trying to re-create sounds that were originally made using other forms of synthesis, like FM, or by digital waveforms, will be difficult to "nail". If you are not well versed in subt...

Re: Fooger Fever... what to add next?

This may not be the right solution for you, but consider a pedalboard. The Foogers can all be tied down to a single unit, with plenty of access to the jacks, and just because it's a board, does not mean it has to be on the floor. Just a suggestion.

Re: Midi murf with a midi keyboard

Not sure what you mean. A MIDI controller would still need to "control" something, as in a sound source of some sort. Are you wanting the Murf to be the source? It has no pitch. Maybe explain the plan in detail, including all the gear to be used.

Re: foogers drive

I don't have a technical answer for you, but I would guess that, as each Fooger mentioned is a completely different circuit design, they would not behave exactly the same. Iow, it's apples to oranges.
