Yeah... "TAKE OFF" ~ this song from THE GREAT WHITE NORTH is a real BEAUTY... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ot70G4wSQi0 'Cuz like Geddy Lee does some really decent singing — eh? Is there an album of theirs that I can listen to that might change my mind? I'd be happy to give them ano...

Re: Using Taurus as a controller

Do you mean with Pitch CV for the arpeggiator? I think having the arp "SEND MIDI NOTES" would be more accurate and easier etc. ~ but I can think of all kinds of potential for CV ins and outs now that I have been playing Taurus... This is where those Taurus CV's would come in handy. Has any...

Re: Best MIDI interface for Ipad

Thanks for posting!~ This looks totally cool! ~ the other options I have tried, the apple connector kit and yamaha are quite delicate and it's easy to lose the physical MIDI connection, which is a major drag! This thing is a whole other world, very solid looking ~ but it's more than just a MIDI conn...

Re: Little Phatty vs. Taurus Arpeggiator?

Thanks kindly, EM! I'm definitely interested 8) Patches spreadsheet sounds very useful indeed! ...I'm a total nerd like that too. Sending you a PM right away. I will definitely call MOOG in the morning about getting a hardcopy manual, and to try and sort out registration issues. The taurusbass...

Re: Using Taurus as a controller

I was really hoping to double up a bass line via midi out to minitaur ~am i correct thinking that you can't send midi note out from the T3 arpeggiator — or am I just not figuring out how to do it properly? There are Midi IN and OUT (Channel) settings that you will need to set. Just press the master ...

Re: Minitaur Editor - again

No. The onscreen dials should definitely respond and move when the hardware ones do. Patch selection and transfer is instantaneous too. Make sure you Select IN and OUT correctly~ Minitaur USB eg as well as correct MIDI in /out channels see excellent demo here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdK1zcwu...

LUCKY MAN ~ I bet it won't be the laast  Actually in this case I wasn't concerned about the warranty*, however, I would absolutely like to register at http://www.taurusbass.com/ and buy whatever hard copy manual & T3 PCB shirt or whatever items are available. I realize it was not ideal buyi...

Re: Little Phatty vs. Taurus Arpeggiator?

what exactly do you need the arpegiated notes FOR? you were talking about using the arpeggiator of the taurus - without the SEND MIDI NOTES feature you can't use it except with the taurus... with the phatty arp sending MIDI you can drive any other synth even bypassing the phatty's own audio to play...

Re: Little Phatty vs. Taurus Arpeggiator?

Me too - I don't use THRU much and get confused but it is could be necessary for this polyphonic stack thing you guys are describing. Info on using it on page 38 of the T3 manual ~ which I can't seem to copy the text from. The pdf is online though... This fascination with polyphony thing totally esc...

Re: Little Phatty vs. Taurus Arpeggiator?

Thanks for listening ~ I've posted many kinds of different things on SoundCloud~ i usually list the instruments i used in the notes on SoundCloud page for each track. Those posted were just the first two LIVE 'off the floor" type tracks I recorded as soon as I got my T3 -- the first one "T...

Re: Little Phatty vs. Taurus Arpeggiator?

No, ~ that works perfectly well. I was talking about a specific feature of the Phatty, which allows you to dial in an advanced arpeggiator option to send out MIDI notes of the arpeggios - so whatever midi note pattern is playing on the phatty is also sent out over MIDI ~ and doubled to an external i...

Re: Slim Phatty control Voyager arp

YES, the Slim's arpeggiator may have been the deciding factor for me but of course once you get one you will quickly discover a lot more you will to do with it ~ External audio in, the OD filter - no end to usefulness. I love my slim phatty like all my moogs ~ just turn it on a little sooner then th...

Re: little confused about filter modulation

The CV range is set at the knob, before you add or take a way voltage. So if you are going in one direction your sweep will begin at the setting you start from ~ there are reminders and examples of this for specific parameters in the docs. You can also control the top limit by attenuating down on an...
