Broken traces!

Can any of you guys with synth repair experience suggest a good way to repair a PCB trace that has broken/lifted off? I've been replacing some slider pots in my SH-09 -- (Yes, I'm talking about a Roland. Please don't throw shoes at me...) -- and this has occurred in a couple of places, rig...

Thanks for the clarification, LWG. :)

I saw a Mark V once on ebay, I had never heard of them before. I guess they're rare. I'm not sure when they're from, I'm guessing early-mid '80s, before Roland got a hold of them.

But check this out...

Two things:

1. The Rhodes is back this summer. What magical times we live in! But why does he already have one? I mean, it's just Chick Corea. :D

2. I never thought I'd see RTF perform. Born too late, I thought! But this... this is going to rule. Period.

So I looked into the Sumo 300, and it seems to be incredible! And cheap. (You can even still get one refurb from the factory for about $250... I wonder if that should make me nervous.) It seems to fit the bill for most of my requirements... ...for Don, who asked what those requirements were: 1.) I c...

Keyboard amps...

So I was reading that 15-page-long thread about everybody's rigs and trying to see some concensus on keyboard amps. I sold the Fender half-stack I was playing through in favor of something more flexible, with multiple ins and stereo. Something that a Pianet, Opus 3 and two monosynths will all plug i...

Anybody know a good tech in the Seattle area?

I know some of you cats are near me... I was wondering if any of you have ever sought out a tech, or can recommend one. Even in the greater Pacific NW, for that matter.

Appreciate any tips!

I think you're right. I take apart some pots and clean 'em and suddenly I think i'm actually QUALIFIED to work on these things... tee hee. I shouldn't be fuckin' with capacitors. I also think I read someone saying there are no good techs in the Seattle area. I know museslave and eegeek are from arou...

My eyes lit up when I saw it was you who responded, Kevin. But ugh... that's a more dour outlook than I was hoping for, but i imagined it was a component issue. I have been inside it, and like i said, nothing physical jumped out at me (no cracked boards or burned-out things that I could readily see)...

Yet another Opus 3 question!

Hey, you technically knowledgeable Moog guys. The chorus section on the ol' Opus seems to be on the fritz. For instance, with the chorus depth all the way up, the string voice sounds like just a saw with a slight degree of vibrato, instead of lush and... chorusy... as it usually is. It's only done t...

I can't help but say "yeah, totally" to most of the aforementioned guys/gals. (Interesting question: have there been any gals on this list?) Emerson, Wakeman, Tony Banks, Stevie Wonder, Bernie Worrell, George Duke, Jan Hammer, Herbie, Chick, Joe Zawinul, Tommy Mars (another Zappa player......

Wow! This is one I haven't seen before. But for some reason, like one or two sellers have been able to lace Ebay with these Russian synths for several years now -- The Polivoks, Aelita, Faemi-1, etc. -- which is surprising considering how rare they're purported to be. So either these folks have foun...
