Re: SP/LP Stability -- Considering purchase, any advice?

I would second what folks above have said. I use an LP and various Foogers, and they have been mostly reliable, if i add up breakage over the last few years, there have been about 4 moog failures vs 3 of other boxen. Of course I don't run CV into those boxen, so I would say they live in a gentler wo...

Re: anyone else using a doepfer R2M with their SP/LP?

Turn off Auto tuning. I had exactly the same thing happening when driving the LP with pitch CV.
For some reason, the auto-tuner gets crazy in the head when you have pitch CV In and you hit keys on the keyboard.
Set tuning to Off or On, anything but auto should be good.

hope this helps

Re: Why does background audio kick out and stutter in Animoo

I just started composing with Animoog and updated the app so that now I can have the loops in the background, but when I go to another Ipad app the loop goes in and out in terms of the audio. It's not working well at all. I have enough gigs and the Ipad 1 got the best one too. It works fine with al...

Re: Little Phatty Editor costs Money. Seriously?

Hi, maybe a little off topic, but the rack ears here in Europe cost 40 euros (60$ I guess) I think it is a kind of bad joke. The real cost of those pieces of metal is around 3$, so why don't include them in the package? I understand that the wood embelishments would be optional (more than 100$ in E...

Re: Bass Guitar > MF-107 Freqbox > Little Phatty?

To give you a clear example of what can be done, here is what I have used: Guitar w/13-pin MIDI setup -> Axon guitar/MIDI converter == guitar notes become MIDI. MIDI -> Kenton MIDI/CV box - creates 2 pitch/gate sets (4 outs) Freqbox OSC out into Little Phatty audio IN. CV B (with proper scaling) to ...

Re: Bass Guitar > MF-107 Freqbox > Little Phatty?

So I guess what you're saying is that the Freqbox osc. out isn't a normal pitch CV output. Ohwell, I've got a Divided Pickup for my Bass so I'll go the midi conversion route.. Thanks, David Smyth New Zealand The OSC out is the raw oscillator audio, not CV at all. The FreqBox has CV _in_ - but be wa...

Re: Custom Moog Guitar!!

Very Interesting! I think Wes Lambe has also built some guitars for Charlie Hunter. So you can have a fanned-fret Moog guitar..
btw, your link was busted for me, this works better:

Re: EMF effects on health with prolonged use

I'd be more concerned about a) your posture (which might change when you play the Godin, be observant)
and b) your diet. Check your fiber intake.

Oh, in that case, you're fine - try sticking a mike in your mouth, and sample the result.

Re: New from Moog!!! 'The Ladder' 500 series Filter

I'm surprised and overjoyed to see that Moog is getting back into modular synthesis. It's something I don't know that I'll ever be able to afford, but it makes me happy nonetheless. 840 dollars seems a little ridiculous for a module, but hey, it's Moog and it's modular synthesis. A great pair. Sadl...

Re: New from Moog!!! 'The Ladder' 500 series Filter

Sigh. Somewhat meaningless to me, as the API format is another expensive backplane, plus all other modules for it are serious expensive. Another bit of GAS to avoid, but then i'm not a Big Studio, just a synth weenie. I imagine the profit margins in the Eurorack space are much smaller than API, plus...

Re: MF-101 Control Voltage question

Gb (0) is 23.12hz and Gb (9) is about 11 839.84 hz, so about 9 octaves. BTW can somebody explain to me what negative voltage is? Is is just a positive voltage with opposite polarity? No one has ever given me a clear answer. Yes, on the practical level it really is just opposite polarity. For exampl...

It would be even more fantastic if the nifty multi-touch keyboard sent MIDI out, instead of MIDI in only :(

Re: help with MP-201

I've done this, was quite easy - if you have v2 or greater firmware, just set one channel as 'midi to cv' - the messy details are in the v2 addendum doc. You may need another
channel set as Gate, depends on what you wish to do.
