What item are you talking about? Moogerfoogers? Voyager? LP? If you are talking about the synths, the LFO is analog and there is no way to "sync" an analog LFO to a MIDI clock. There is a way around this, though. What the Voyager (I'm assuming the LP has this function, too) actually does i...

The expression pedal inputs of the moogerfoogers work by using resistors to control current. Effectively, your body and some items can act like this resistance. And just like the expression pedals, this resistance controls the current and therefore the parameter. Nothing to do with shielding, its ho...

Basically slap a Fatar keybed into a case that says Moog? I thought the idea was that Moog made great sounds... And thats what you pay for... Now we are just talking about name recognition... I could be wrong... Its not that simple, Fatar simply makes the keybed assembly. Every modular needs a keyb...

Great idea with the rectifier and clipper for a little waveshaping. How about a linear to logarithmic converter to turn triangle waves into sine waves.

LOL. Wrong Moog. I don't think Bob designed many servo controllers. "it must be special because its made by Moog" Ha. Hope no one falls for this. http://www.moog.com/ I did talk to this company at a job fair once. Apparently, they guy who started this company and Bob were related. Cousins,...

The problem with your logic is that you don't have his permission to post the documents he researched and wrote on any other site. Its pretty simple, really. brain_11 wrote: I have his pdfs, so Greg if you agree I will post them on my site and people can download it. sir_dss wrote: Yeah the articles...

Was there a 906 in the modular line? I was looking at Moogarchives and noticed it skipped the number... 901,902,903,904,905,907  How about an MF-160 :) ! There was no Rhodes mk VI either. Is this some sort of superstitious thing in the music industry?! There's something strange going on here....

If you have the money, you CAN have a new polyphonic Moog with this:

Its going to get pretty expensive, though.

I think the next logical step is an new CP box. With an envelope generator or two, maybe a dedicated VCA and whatever else they can squeeze on there (sequencer maybe?). That would truly tie all the moogerfoogers together.

What waveshape do Theremins output. Sine or triangle? Either way, if you like the sound of hard sync on a synthesizer, thats what it will sound like. The internal VCO will hard sync to the Theremin's sine or tri output, just like a synthesizer. Maybe Moog will put up a sample, since I'm guessing the...

Re: MF-107 details up on website

Hi Folks - Specs for theFreqBox are now online... The "pitch tracking" you guys are hearing in the demo is the VCO hard synced to the input - the VCO is retriggered at the frequency of the input... Lots of things can be done w/ the FreqBox!!! SD That's cool, I wouldn't even think that an ...

Hello Francesco, I'll listen to your composition when i get home from work (no speakers on my work computer), but I just wanted to tell you you should check out the new moogerfooger 107. I think it would be pretty sweet to have an oscillator synced to you whistling. A bit aggressive, but it might so...

You can get very synthetic sounding vowel sounds from the Voyager, but not very realistic choir sounds. Also, its monophonic, and that would lead to pretty skimpy backing vocals (unless you were overdubbing a recording).

I think you are looking for a rompler.

Is this why you're conjecturing that the 107 may have two oscillators? One being the PPL (which is just used as a control/modulation source), and the other being the audio VCO? So when the sync is engaged, it's actually syncing to the PPL oscillator (which will be following the input frequency)? Ye...
