There is a patch initialization section on page 14 of the Sub Phatty manual.

Re: Microphone > Sub 37 ?
The EXT IN is an unbalanced input that accepts a line-level signal. A microphone signal is weaker than a line-level signal, so I guess you'd need a microphone amplifier between your mic and synth to get the signal from the mic up to line level. I have no idea if it would sound any good, but you can ...

Re: Connecting the Sub 37 to Logic Pro x to use the moog's s
What exactly are you trying to do that isn't working? Playing the synth and recording MIDI or audio? Or sending MIDI from the DAW? The Moog Sub 37 doesn't have a 'sound card', the only audio it generates comes from the analog audio output, which as I understand from your post is actually working?

Re: Sluggish keyboard and notes
Great that you found a solution! Just a note for future reference: you don't need the editor to reset MIDI and GLOBAL settings. You'll find the INIT SETTINGS option in the global menu (3.2) to do this (see page 49 of the Sub 37 1.1 manual).

Re: Sluggish keyboard and notes
I really appreciate yall trying to help out. Everyone's answers in this thread have seemed like logical ideas to try. If I can get this thing doing right soon, I may have to just return it, which is a shame, because it does sound great, and is fun to play around with. Before giving up and returning...

Re: Connecting a sub 37 to beatstep pro
I don't know about CV, but you could also just connect via MIDI. By the way, the Sub 37 has a pretty capable sequencer built in.

Re: New User Problems with Logic Pro X Help!!! ....
You're not using the plugin in the DAW? I believe you'll want to use that. The Sub 37 Editor User's Manual explains how to set up your DAW track on page 10: PLUG-IN EDITOR CONFIGURATION Configure your DAW in the same way you would when using any external hardware instrument - with MIDI connected via...

Re: New User Problems with Logic Pro X Help!!! ....
I can't turn off local as was suggested in another thread as I want to use local to generate the Midi. Turning off local control doesn't mean the synth won't send MIDI. It is actually meant for exactly the use case you're describing AFAIK. Page 10 of the Sub 37 Editor User's Manual says: WARNING: B...

Re: Issue With MIDI Driver
I'm not using Windows, so I haven't run into this, but I'd contact Moog support about an issue like this.

Re: Firmware update and presets
Backing up can never hurt, but if all goes according to plan your presets should just still be there after the firmware update.

Re: Controlling Eventide H9 via MIDI on Sub37?
Ah, I guess I learned something. Sorry for the confusion I may have caused, I never really use program changes, except for one time when I used an external foot pedal to switch synth presets, which is going the other way of course.

Re: Controlling Eventide H9 via MIDI on Sub37?
I guess most synths are not designed to be program switchers for other MIDI devices. They might exist, but I don't know of any.

Re: Sub and Linux?
I can't tell you whether the editor would work on Linux using that software, but the reason Moog has a custom USB driver for Windows is that Windows doesn't allow sharing a device between multiple programs by default. Using Moog's USB driver you can. This is not an issue on macOS, so there's no cust...
