Re: Sub 37 vs Model D
For those that are keeping the Model D over the Sub 37: Are you using the Model D live? Are you finding the tuning to be stable? Are you missing the ability to change patches? I would assume (and hope) that the modern electronics in the new Model D would provide more tuning stability than the class...

Re: Help! The Source is killing me!!!
Thanks for the help. Unfortunately work has me bouncing around the country the past few weeks, but hopefully I will get some time to stare at the schematics some more soon. My source has version 3.2 firmware so I'm not sure if 2.0 would run with the hardware configuration (I know there were a few I...

Re: Sub 37 vs Model D
Yeah man that is for sure. I have not heard a Voyager in person yet but that is supposed to be quite a synth also. I love the Sub 37's dark brown bass. Yeah it's all "horses for courses". Everything fits some niche. I too like the bass on the Sub-37, how do you think it compares to the ne...

Re: Sub 37 vs Model D
I would say that each of these synths holds its own niche and place as valuable and powerful instruments. Exactly. Most things that have come out of Moog over the years have been valuable instruments in some niche or other. I'm glad the new D suits your needs and I hope you have a real blast with i...

God knows what it is. It certainly never came out of a Moog factory, that's for sure.

Re: Inserting a guitar effect pedal
So thrilled to read this. I was wondering the same thing when I looked in the manual and read about the FX send/return jacks. Related question, has anyone tried plugging a Mother-32 into that FX loop? This could essentially turn the Voyager into a sequencer. Problems with impedance or voltage? Of c...

Re: Voyager XL producing the same pitch from all keys?
Hi All! Have just received a voyager xl which I have been extremely excited to play however I do not seem to get differing pitches from the keys, irrespective of the presets loaded. I am totally new to the Moog fam and am hoping this issue is resolved with a simple solution. Any help would be great...

Re: Pitch in?
Am I missing something or is there no way to send pitch trough CV to the Mother 32. Tried VCO 1v/Oct and VCO Lin FM but it will not change the pitch correctly. Im tryin to connect the mother to a Beatstep Pro CV Pitch Out and Gate Out (the gate works fine but not the pitch). I've had the same probl...

Re: New Model D ?
The Control Voltage (CV) cables can be split to send them to multiple destinations. But each destination will draw a little bit of current and will reduce the maximum range just a bit. Thanks. Went and bought cables and am trying it out now. Hey Sub Guy - what are your initial impressions of the ne...

Re: Rack kits
Hi guys Is the rack kit just the metal frame or are the wooden sides included for putting Eurorack modules in ? No wood, just two pieces of thin powder-coated steel. Very thin, wobbly and insubstantial. I bought the 3-tier but the holes didn't line up due to the different (variable) contours of the...

Do you have the new D now? How's it working out for you?sub guy wrote:To be fair I do also play two mother 32's in my band. If the model d works out Ill be getting rid of either the mother 32's or the sub 37 but not both. I still need a drone machine while playing baselines.

Re: Help! The Source is killing me!!!
Thanks for the input. Mine seems to work in reverse...when I initially turn it on, the edit light is off. It only comes on when I push HOLD (along with the : symbol). With HOLD (and the edit light) on I now have access to the incremental controller (it changes the sound, but I don't know which para...

It might track acceptably over two octaves (if you have a tin ear), but it is not accurate at all. This is the price you pay for 'pure analogue'.

Re: Moog Prodigy: do capacitors model/type affect the sound?
Moog didn't use low ESR caps in their original builds so I think you'll be fine
