Re: Moog One FEATURE Requests

All I want is proper external midi control. I doubt it will ever happen.... :(

Very nice!
901s and 921s. Best of both worlds.
Congrats Eric!

Re: Note trig and transpose are not working on sequencer

I've been having massive problems with the arpeggiator when it's receiving external sync. (Lots of other issues with external midi issues too, but that's another issue.) Try disconnecting the midi and sync inputs and try it. Might work which will confirm my belief that external midi and sync have ma...

Re: How to chane all 3 synths volume from external

You need to have the 3 synth layers receive midi control on 3 separate midi channels. Then use 3 different tracks in Ableton with each set to send only to one of the individual layers' midi channels. So, for example, if you have layer 1 on midi port 1, channel 1, then the Ableton track should send o...

Re: Best Beginner's Modular?

First, the early Moog modulars (10, 12, IIP, IIC, IIIP, IIIC) had 901 series oscillators while the later modulars (15, 35, 55) had the later 921 series. The 921s were far more stable, tracked better over a wider range and had oscillator sync, but the 901s were pretty magical. (I own an early IIP wit...

Re: Does 1.5 sound better?

It appears to me that the mixer section inputs allow more gain than before which allows a bit more drive and can distort the filter inputs. (FYI, that was some of the "magic" which resulted from the design mistake in the old Model D.) The overdrive causes some upper level harmonic distorti...

All I can tell ya is ya probably want'a fasten your seat belts, put your trays and seats in the upright position, and get ready to begin the count down, we are T-minus 30 Really? Really?! Would love to know your basis for this claim. Unless you are a Moog employee or a beta tester with inside info,...

Re: A few concerns before I buy the Moog One

I got mine in the original batch. As much as I like the sound and the UI, if I knew then what I know now - how the promised fixes would take years (if ever); that there would be regular updates that stopped happening a few months in; that certain advertised features would actually work when they don...

Re: Whats about Moog One Firmware 2.0 ????????????

I'm beginning to think that this may never actually happen. It's been way too long and there has been complete radio silence from Moog. I don't consider telling a few unhappy customers that something is coming soon, without any actual details or commitments to be a reasonable response. With their &q...

Re: Moog One Bugs

When adding or switch patches while they are playing, weird audio glitches occur so you can't really feel comfortable switching patches or adding them on the fly in a live situation. This has been an issue since i got mine 3 years ago and I can't believe it hasn't been fixed yet. Makes the effects ...

Re: Model 10 Mixer question

Hi Paul,

I've run my DotCom oscillators into my vintage Moog CP3s many times. They tend to clip a bit (which is part of the Moog mojo) but have shown no sign of damage.

Multi-drive effect on a Model D?

I have Model D (and a modular IIP and a One). I'm looking to recreate the multi-drive distortion on the Sub37. I'm familiar with the feedback loop trick and wonder if anyone has used a device in that loop that gets close to the Sub37 overdrive effect. Possible contenders are the Elektron Analog Heat...

Re: KarnEvil 9 - 3rd Impression sequencer....

Synthguy, The repeating arpeggios in KE9 3rd Impression are done by running the sequencer cv out through a (normally closed) VCA to the oscillator cv in. The main keyboard gate is sent to the step 1 on the 960 so the sequencer resets on each key trigger and it stays in time (ish). The key gate also ...
