Re: Ready to buy: waiting for new firmware?
@noisebit: Oh, I have the Quantum as well (my collecting addiction started in 2017). It is in the cellar since long, too much space for so little joy, in direct opposite to the ONE and the P10. But admittedly, a tad more lively than the Iridium. Hm. I understand your "absolute digital" int...

Re: Ready to buy: waiting for new firmware?
@noisebit: Smile smile! Very similar thoughts here everyday I turn on the P10. Why the tuning mess when Moog has no problems to be almost perfectly tuned right from the start? Personal question: I also have the Iridium, just because I buy almost every synth that comes out since a few years. Any good...

Re: Ready to buy: waiting for new firmware?
It wasn't my intention to trigger any insult or something like that. But it is not fair to compare a tiny company like Moog with car manufacturers. I worked for the company "with the star" for quite a long time, and I can tell you the budget for making the sound of a closing car door for o...

Re: Ready to buy: waiting for new firmware?
I'm a software engineer by trade (and ironically develop embedded device firmware on a system not unlike the One) so have zero tolerance for bugs. Me too. I mean developer. But "zero tolerance for bugs"? Working at NASA? :D Seriously: Show me a synth that has no hanging notes. Then, make ...

Re: Dust Cover
Bought mine in 2020, and yes, it needed to be cleaned before first use. Which was unfortunately not the first use in my case, so one of the first things I had to do is clean the ONE. Bad thing. Other than this, the covers is too small. Even with maximum force and extremely tightness it cannot cover ...

Re: Whats about Moog One Firmware 2.0 ????????????
@MWK: You made me smile. I find myself oh so often using the Prophet 10 Rev4 over the Moog One, because it is so convenient, easy, great sounding, putting all the VSTis in the dust. Then again, if I find the time, I take the challenge trying to get the same results out of the Moog One. I would say i...

Why does everyone think that there will be an update? Maybe it comes, maybe not.

Re: Singularity Vol 3 - GEOSynths
Anyways, amazing patches. Lifts the Moog One a level up when it comes to real life production sounds.

Re: Click/Pop when scrolling thru Menu
Thanks for chiming in. No, Preset Autoload is off.
The issue gets worse and worse the more presets you have in your loaded User Space. Keeping it below ~500 presets, the crackling is not a real issue and only happens when scrolling fast.
With > 2.000 presets it's a real crackling fest.

Re: A few concerns before I buy the Moog One
Have you decided what to buy? I'm late to the party, but between Prophet-10 and Moog One (16), there is no decision. I own and love both, but the Moog is literally lightyears ahead of the Prophet. It can do at least 1.000.000 things more. The only advantage of the Prophet 10 is that your ears really...

Re: Sold my Oberheim Matrix-12 to buy this (and settle some debts) … good or bad idea??
Yeah, the decision it good if you needed the extra money from the 12. There are some pads that I cannot exactly reproduce with the Moog One though, it's not THAT direct. But that's complaining at the highest possible level, admittedly. The Moog One is the best Poly ever built. Except for it's softwa...

Re: Next 1.5 update, when ?
Just checked the Careers section on their site. Seems they are no longer looking for a Firmware Developer. Giddy up codeboy! ;) Or they have given up on this. Did you ever look into the SQLite database and the saved files the Moog One emits? I mean, why are all params identified by concatenate stri...
