Re: Microbrute, Werkstatt & CV Newbie

Lance, I've had the same problem. The work around I use is, instead of using the gate out on the Microbrute, I use the envelope out on the Microbrute into the VCA In on the Werkstatt. Hope that helps.

Re: Roland "Boutique Series"

A couple of other thoughts, addressing other people's issues. The resolution on the sliders is really high, so despite the smallness you can get a wide variety of timbres. As for the lack of velocity -- the original synths these were based on lacked it, too, so I wasn't expecting it. That being said...

Re: Roland "Boutique Series"

I picked up the jp-08 this morning. I'm really quite pleased with it. I spent some time last week getting to know the boutiques as well as an actual Jupiter (and that's where I met jsharp). Re: Having trouble setting up one volt per octave

Andy, Thank you so much. I figured it out. It is because I'm a novice. For some reason I was expecting perfect tracking. But after comparing it to my other analogs (Microbrute and a Syntecno TeeBee) as well as the button keyboard on the Werkstatt, I've learned there is always some wiggle room of plu...

Re: Using Wekstatt with Arturia Beatstep

According to the manual, you can trigger the envelope by sending a -2.5v to +2.5v signal into the gate in, as opposed to the 0v to 5v that will just trigger the amp on and off.

Having trouble setting up one volt per octave

Okay. I have a question. Forgive me, I'm a novice with this stuff so this might be obvious to anyone other than me. I appreciate any hand holding you can give me. I've followed the instructions to set it to one volt per octave: Step 1: Press the low C button on the Werkstatt. (took me forever to rea...
