Dust problems in rackmounted MFs?
I have just rack mounted my six Moogerfoogers (and the CP251 in its own mount) - never thought it would happen, but I think I will use them more creatively now. Well, taking off the wooden ears of each center fooger did hurt a little, but I get that it is more aesthetically pleasing to have them off...

But the version 1 looks so much cooler.kn_s wrote:as far as i know they are identical. the right one is basically version 1 from the initial release, the left is version 2 which is currently in production. i have one of each and notice no difference!

Re: Using Daisy Chain Harness with 2 x CP-251 in rack?
relocating the switch is easy. Just be gentle during disassembly, and you'll be fine. If you're really worried about it, you can mail it to me and I'll do it for you. It takes 2 minutes. I've done it probably a dozen times over the last few years as I've rearranged my setup. I should have read this...

Re: Moogerfooger Idea
I hear you. I am a guitar player, and bought the first couple of foogers as stand-alone pedals. I refused any thought of having them rackmounted. But becoming caught up in all the modulation stuff, and having bought more foogers, I have realized that I must go rackmount. Having them ("only"...

Re: MF-104Z vs MF-104M
Adding my 2 cents... I have both the 104m and the 104z and I prefer the 104z. The repeats are slightly darker (less high end) and thus it doesn't compete with your original signal in the mix. The 104m has the insert effect for affecting the delay signal only (as the z's loop in and out). So, with s...

Re: moogerfooger name origins
An explanation from the web on the history of the MFs http://www.retrosynth.com/~analoguediehard/studio/effects/moog_moogerfoogers/ : For those curious about the origin of the name, Bob had visited a studio and noticed one of the mixer channels was labeled "moogerfooger". He learned that t...

MF107.jpg Finally I got my FreqBox. For a long time I thought it would not be worthwhile to get, but luckily I changed my mind. I have now spent hours enjoying this crazy box using a guitar. It is full of surprises. Get it while it is still available. I will try using the VCO as a third/second osci...

Re: playing the FreqBox vco...
All you need is another cheap monophonic synth that has an audio -in while also having a Cv-pitch out, with a keyboard. Ie. Microbrute, Minibrute, etc. This is what I would have thought also, but one should be aware that the MicroBrute and MiniBrute send out up to 10V. If the FreqBox is like all ot...

Re: Repairs on MF Delay
I am in Europe, and have had a Clusterflux in repair since June (first two months it was in "postal limbo" - turned out the UK vendor didn't pick up my package; so I got it back, got billed for return postage, and could spend more money on postage by sending it again). Now it has been pick...

That said, this is what I'm trying to accomplish 2. Use the Sub 37 as a mid controller only, utilizing the keyboard only and the plugins in maschine and record. I have a great midi keyboard that can control maschine for you. We could make a swap? I get your Sub 37, you get my midi keyboard (it has ...

From the Moog website: https://www.moogmusic.com/support/general-moog-questions/#moog-name-it-pronouned-mooooooog-or-mogue "Moog is pronounced so it rhymes with vogue." But I still easily fall into saying 'Moooooog'. I said so consistently in the 70s and 80s - probably because of the Briti...

Re: Need To complete Analog setup
The ring modulator never ceases to amaze me. I think I will never exhaust the possibilities of sonic craziness and sanity this unit offers. It would be my first choice. The MF-108 is wonderful as well, but one could argue that you have some of its features in the delay. But again, it gives flange so...

Re: I am grateful I have a Traumatic Brain Injury
Hi: I use a Dave Smith Tetr4 as my polyphonic synthesizer - it comes very close to the Prophets. I run it with a Minitaur doing the bass stuff, and I think they sound terrific together (some of the presets in stereo on the DST are quite beautiful). Of course, the Tetr4 lacks cv manipulation, but wit...

Re: Taurus 3 vs Model D without a war...
:D Hello! Cool. Why? Three oscillators? Mainly because one gets zero information about what is happening when, and because the sound quality is not the best. Anyway, for me it is a "war" of little interest, as the D, unfortunately, is way beyond my budget. So I'll have to do with the Mini...
